That's MMA (UFC in this case) and kneeing to the face is allowed as long as the opponent is standing. If they're on the ground, it's an illegal strike unless the event is taking place in Japan on Pride then it's legal and encouraged. Yeah my friend does Muay Thai and I thought it would be smart to let him do a "practice" knee to the ribs... Extreme pain ensued.
