Feb. Update - When and What

I am a bit surprised that SE has not started to tease us about the upcoming update. It is already Jan. 27th and the update should be scheduled for mid Feb if we go by the yearly cycle. So...Where's the news? The info start trickling in the following Monday after I made a similiar post last November so here's hoping for a similiar situation.

However, to make this topic worthwhile, what do you think is coming in the Febuary update? I say new ToA missions, new assault ranks and missions, more PUP stuff (yay ), adjustments to Salvage, new HNMs, and maybe new areas.

What we will get: new group effect food, an update to mob's behavior that makes everything true sight and sound, a limit of 10k on trading gil to other characters, and of course, a brief but quickly fixed window to kill AV.

Maybe Chocobo Circuit and Colosseum too...

I'm actually looking forward to this patch, they should be close to adding the end game zones, and hopefully new assault ranks.

i doubt there will be any adjustments to salvage as in another zone, at least not one that requires wins from all the other remnants... it would be pretty messed up of them to make a new area and then tell all the people who've cleared the previous areas "oh we added a keyitem, you have to kill it again though"

even before bcd and xar were added the 4 towns dropped key items, limbus always dropped winning chips (although ultima/omega were there from the start).

Nyzul Isle is an Assault area. Has a runic seal, etc., plus its fireflies don't have the same description as the remnants ones.

EDIT: Plus, like someone said, there is no key item (or dialogue?) that indicates progression (as in, future areas/sections/etc.) in Salvage.

Anyway, I'm guessing:
Chocobo Racing (Didn't they mention this in the October teaser?...)
2-3 more mercenary ranks (if 3, then the final Assault missions)
Maybe the end of Aht Urhgan missions
Maybe Hazhalm Testing Grounds' endgame event, although I'm guessing the update after the next (it will probably require final mercenary rank + certain ToAU progression)
Adjustments to AV (For the better or worse)
Adjustments to Salvage
1-2 weeks of maintenances afterwards that cause EU players to complain (If SE had a heart, they would make it so that 3/7 days screw EUs over, 2/7 days screw NAs over, and 1/7 days screw JPs over, or at least 4/7 for EUs and 3/7 for NAs. Oh, well, sucks to be you guys.)

Since Chocobo Racing seems more ready and was planned earlier, I doubt we're getting the Colosseum. That will probably be added sometime later.

2. Chocobo Circut opens when your choco wins you get a ??? item that turns out to be a loleggplant or lolbombash.

3. new assault ranks

I hope they finish up to ToAu missions sometime in the near future, I want a new zone with god fights and some kind of big reward for completing ToAU. It's likely that the reward will be glory Crown but we will have to wait and see what SE will bring.

With any luck they'll adjust salvage to make it more adaptable to different-sized groups.

As it stands now, you go in with 6, it can be pretty fantastic. If you go in with 18, it's a total mess and you have cheerleaders with nothing unlocked.

There were some good CoP pieces though. I would have loved to have Seer's gear when I was leveling BLM long ago. In fact, isn't a lot of the good BLM armor from CoP, especially the Igquira set? Ditto for SMN and Austere.
