A GM told us that it was a violation, but apparently not a big enough one to go looking through some logs to verify our story, so nothing came of it except a few revenge killings.

Pretty sure a bunch of people from Asura have been jailed for killing charmed RMT at Tiamat.

I was jailed twice, received a suspension and was put for review during my suspension for killing charmed RMT at Tiamat and at Pallas. First warning was at Pallas when I killed the bat, then I killed the rmt after it, they got pissed at me because I did get the bracelets (after doing emotes to their dead bodys, gm took me to jail lol). I got jailed and suspended with possible ban when I went on a killing spree during a tiamat where they were getting charmed with corses...Asura is not only full of RMT, its also full of rmt that call gms, and players who call gms on other players that mpk gillsellers, and also we seem to get the fuckwad gms that jail and band real players while the rmt mpk, ks, and bot everything.

Alright. But about 95% of the times I've killed Xolotl, they have been a normal '1 main tank, 1 back up tank'. I don't think all linkshells have access to SMNs and BSTs at poptimes.

Honestly, this is about game ethics or a broken GM policy.

Even sub bst works if someone has BST 60+. I got pld/bst all the time with little to no trouble at all.

Regardless of wheather it's "game mechanics", killing a charmed player is obviously griefing and there's no legitimate reason to do it. It doesn't matter if it's game mechanics if the game mechanics are stupid (someone brought up mob trains.).

I don't know about you guys, but if I'm getting raped by an army of charmed PCs, I'm at very least going to Sleepga. This mechanic needs to be in the game for self-defense purposes. Saying there's no legitimate reason to do it in the system's current incarnation is rather dense.

The only real solution I can see to this (if you're hell-bent on getting rid of this capability) is to make it so you can't attack a charmed PC unless it attacks you (or maybe someone in your party/alliance?) first. That way self-defense is still in the picture and the idea behind being charmed is still in tact, but you don't get dicks like the OP mentioned who just kill for the lolz.

yea ga's only hit the target in a group of charmed people.

What would be funny is...if this guy were to somehow get on the hate list- maybe if you cure him or if he doesn't one shot someone then they are on the hate list I don't know....just force DC out with xolotl right on top of him and get him killed. Sure, you'll lose claim and all but for me it would be totally worth it.

-ga magic can't hit multiple charmed players.
As far as I know, other AoE things can, like Bloodpacts or Weaponskills.
