because it doesnt this has no effect on the player and all that crap about using the "n" word or saying fag has a direct effect on someone and they cannot filter it out. ignoring it isnt the same as filtering it in a chat log. and yes ingame there is a chat filter too that if you dont like foul language you can choose to filter it out. if someone complains about others saying bad words and consciously chooses to not use the chat filter then they have no right to complain and bitch and whine they chose to put themselves in a situation where they might see bad language and chose to not use the tool presented to them to filter out bad language they might not want to see.

So, where do you draw the line between acting like a princess and having a good reason to be offended. Just because someone is offended doesnt mean he is right to be. There is retarded reason to offended by something, and getting pissed because someone checked your gear is amongst those.

My point is it doesn't matter whether we think it's a good reason or not, we know it does offend them, so why do it?

i wouldnt even put /checking and staring at someone under the same category.. when you stare at someone in real life, you might make them nervous, creep them out, etc

/checking someone has absolutely no sort of effects what so ever and anyone who says it does is just paranoid or has some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder

Actually I said the opposite of that I said with /check in game you can filter it out but in real life you cannot filter out racial slurs so it is a bad example. People have a reason to be upset about racial slurs but no reason to be upset about /check.

I was talking about in game, which you can filter racial slurs in game with the parental filter, just like you can filter /checks.

Yes, people have a reason to be upset about racial slurs, so we don't use it out of respect for them. Why not show the same respect for people who get upset over /check, regardless if we understand the reason or not. >_>

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, but if you're saying that Racial Slur is OK in game and people are being unreasonable for being upset about it just because they can filter it... then wow, I don't know what to say to that.
