PSP 3.03 DOWNGRADER NOW OUT!

Hence the "pretty much"... it's still possible to do, but I don't really trust that downgrader to offer it to anyone. Sure it might work, but you have a 50% chance of bricking it as well (from people who have posted around on maxconsole and stuff like that, that seems to be the case... a lot are bricking it.)

on qj it's about the same as normal downgrading success rate, the only difference is the xy.z eboot changes some I...PF?FP?thingthattellsthemobowhatodoOK codes to make it act like a ta-079 board,shouldnt make the downgrade fail more often

I use it to watch movies on the train (PMP mod) and Marvel Vs Capcom. Recently I started playing Chrono Trigger for SNES.

Unfortunately, I only have a 512mb sd stick and most games for ps1 are well over that so I don't bother to download them. I have dark_alex firmware but I think the "B" version since I don't bother updating to the latest ones.

With level 9 compression with PSX2PSP I got the FF files to about 490-580 more of less per CD... I got 2 4GB sandisk memory sticks, I put FF7 and 9 on one of them, and FF8 and all the rest of the FFs (all the PSX remakes, 1/2/4/5/6/tactics) on the other. BTW, only 7/8/9/Tactics are that high, the anthology games are about 100mb or so.

That bit earlier about seeing something written in the upper right if you open the UMD drive... do you mean some numbers written on the green circuit board itself? Mine has that. I have a PSP I got in Japan (dunno if that makes any difference) with firmware 2.81. The last update I did to it was for MGS: PO.

I basically don't know shit about this, and I'm not sure I understand what was written before... I would need to get what? Upgraded to 3.03 and then downgraded back to 1.50?

Well for the longest time, if you saw Gold Lettering on the right side of your mobo, then you were pretty much saddled with a non-homebrew PSP. But as stated, not long ago at all a process was created to downgrade even those PSPs. I won't go into it here, check some of the more trustworthy forums out there for homebrew. There is an "UltimateInstaller" that i have seen but i tend to only trust a handful of AutoInstaller Downgraders" and while this one may work, i am not familiar with the Dev.

And Zigma, did you actual get Brave Fencer running? I had heard that it hangs during startup, but that info may indeed be outdated.
