I wanted to originally but I swayed away from it since Muteki had one already lol... Then I thought about Bravura, but then Lhexh got one! Then I thought about Kikoku, but then Keichan got one!

So, eventually I just said fuck it, I don't care who else is getting GK, I'm going to get it (and go figure Muteki got GK too! lol).

But hey! In the small chance I got a second relic, I really want to do bow. If I could somehow get the time/patience to make 100m or so I probably could do it, but I don't see that happening.

What mistake did I have in the guide? And yeah I remember those days... Doing RNG AF was torture, it was one of the most frustrating things to do in the game and the very little information available about it was horrible (aka, translated from JP using babblefish or something and it wouldn't make sense). So I wrote the guide in hope of making it easier. I revised it a shitton, unless they changed something I have no clue where I could've messed up. D:

ok i can't find any mistakes, but it's been ages lol.

and yeah, i leveled ranger on a dare from my old social shell because they said no NA player could afford it.

so i leveled woodworking and it wasn't too bad, but i formed a static with friends(my friend gref was leveling mnk with me, back when mnks couldn't blow SE to get an invite). when i would seek for invites, i'd always lose invites to dark knights lol.

This was in my noob day's, and I didn't know you could buy the eldieme map, and couldn't figure out anything for myself. After turning left into the wall, I couldn't figure out what was going on, thought I went through the wrong Titan's gate or something, or made a wrong turn, and eventually I fell down a grave trying to figure out where to go and got pwnt and had to homepoint.

I sent you tells about it, I think I also mentioned the quest name for one of the rng af quests got changed, but my pleas went unheard!

I've always thought these guides should be written here. Sometimes even the Wiki lacks some specific references on Job Guides (and some just plain suck), and Zam guides helped me out when I was starting the game, but nowadays I dont find much reliable information there if I'm starting to play another job, or I find plain retardation (PUP Tanks!). That, and none of these guides have detailed info on the job's role/gear for endgame, which could be provided/debated on BG Forums.

I've always thought these guides should be written here. Sometimes even the Wiki lacks some specific references on Job Guides (and some just plain suck), and Zam guides helped me out when I was starting the game, but nowadays I dont find much reliable information there if I'm starting to play another job, or I find plain retardation (PUP Tanks!). That, and none of these guides have detailed info on the job's role/gear for endgame, which could be provided/debated on BG Forums.

To be done properly would take a LOT of work and frankly a delicate hand. There's a lot of job flexibility out there but.. most of the time people are too stupid to know how to properly implement it. Take the headache of a job:

RDM

You have support, solo, and tank and within each of these you have sub categories and people have WILDLY different opinions on how/if these should even be used. Then you have merits and their various utility, you see where I'm going.

The task would be a massive undertaking but if you can get the right people to supervise each section and make sure the each one gets complete and accurate information (all the while being open minded about things) I think it could be a really great reference for anyone hoping to learn a little (or a lot) more about a particular job.

It would also be nice to have a section with (legitimately) useful links such as: http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Category:Limbus which is simply the best limbus guide out there. Most people probably know about it but some don't and it's always nice to have a cenrtalized place that will be able to guilde you to information you know will be accurate.

Nutshell: massive undertaking and you need the right people to help but if it's done well it would be awesome and extremely helpful.

Potential side effect: A decrease in some of the 'basic' questions that pop up here because people can just check out the guide for information.

as long as you write it in the sense of "this is how i tank as rdm/nin, these are the results i get; this is how i act as enfeeble/enhance as rdm/xxx, etc." then the only disagreement you'll get is from idiots who have another playstyle and don't see the validity of the one being documented - and you can ignore comments made by idiots.

even a 'simple' job like whm has 4~ possible subjobs, over 60 possible pieces of equipment and some misunderstandings as to how the spells work or are cast most effectively. so it's a massive undertaking if one person describes every aspect of a job. that's why there's no equivalent information out there^^
