Would you hate it if they remade the battle system and had the game in Full HD graphics? and voice overs? I think you would change your mind once the game was out.

I'd prefer they get to work making new content for Adventuring Fellows in FFXI. If I want to play FFVII, I'll pop in the CD and play it.

I don't really. As much as I loved ff7 (and every other recent FF), there is a limit to how you can reuse the same thing to milk money of it. A rpg, if it's not for the story rarely worth being played imo, and I already know ff7 story too well.

I agree that they already kind of washed any hopes of a sequel to FF7 down the toilet when they made DoC and Advent Children... and remaking it wouldn't be such a wow factor because we saw what these chars look like in HD... but it would still be nice if they made it, and i'm sure many would buy it just because it's FF. (given that they already had a PS3 at that point, it wouldn't be a game that would sell the console that's for sure.)

Now as far as direct sequels... sequeling FF6 would be kind of hard because it would be a totally different game... no one has seen the chars in 3D before, and it would look pretty weird, but I suppose it would be more fun that way.

I would've loved an FF8 remake/sequel though, I think there's still some room to work more on the story... FF9 as well, but I can't stand Zidane.

Right...and I think it's somewhat mentioned in that translated text there though.

I would rather see a sequel to FF8 than a remake though...since the graphics weren't half bad, and the only thing they would be adding is somewhat better graphics and voice overs... a remake, or perhaps a re-release of FF8 as a remake for the PS3 + sequel would be worth buying. Hell, if they did a sequel for FFX, FF8 deserves one too.

They would, and it wouldn't be a problem for the most part since they already have Squall's voice over from Kingdom Hearts (which was very good, btw...really fit his character), so it wouldn't be a problem coming up with a cast.

I do hope they include some FF9 characters in KH3 though, just so we can see and hear what they sound like.

A direct sequel, if not directed by the same author and planned from the start usually suck. Vincent's story and FF7:AC felt kinda forced in my opinion because FF7 itself was completed. A sequel 200 years later or in the past would have made more sense, with new character and a new plot. I do think however I would pay for a Laguna spinoff...cause that guy was made of win.

And I think the Laguna spinoff isn't quite a possibility, because you did play as him... if he was more of a remote character throughout the main course of the game, it would make more sense to make a spinoff game based on him... but since you practically know his history and stuff, there's nothing to really explore there anymore.
