What's with all the "___ said:"? >.>
Read the whole thing and it makes sense, confused me at first too
Wow that was a very enjoyable story (esp when you're at work :D) with a great ending, for those who haven't read it, just think of the conversations as another jump in time periods.
Looked at the post title and thought 'wonder if it'll be as good as The Last Question' - then I clicked link and it was to that story - which I printed out a long while ago. Still have the copy up in my desk. I love this particular story a bunch![]()
Wow, that was actually really good lol. I had kinda guessed what would happen, but as I was reading I forgot about it >_> So the ending surprised me. Bookmarked though![]()
That was pretty awesome. Reminded me of another short story...
Similar sort of deal, vast computer that knows everything. At the end of this one though, the techinician asks the computer if there is a god, and the computer responds "There is now" or something to that effect.
If anyone knows what story my incredibly vague descriptions is that'd help me out a lot, it's kind of bugging me now.
I've read another story from Asimov involving the MultiVAC, although I can't remember it right now.
Good story. Definately.
Weird, I just finished reading this, and a little awhile ago on G4TV's show ATOS (Attack of the Show) they showed a trailer to Sunshine
Lookie: (Weird)
