Do you have to turn on your own chat filters so you don't crash yourself when you do it? Or is the code written in a way that you are safe from this?

Pretty sure Taj said earlier he needed to use his own chat filters, but if he's using a port loop to tinker, he could probably stop it from ever getting to his client, it'd just be extra coding rather than a button click in-game.

Well, that wasn't even necessary because when you send someone a tell or say something, the server doesn't send you the message back. The message gets rendered in your chat log before it even gets sent to the server, it's client magic.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone with 500+ posts here is a closet GM.

I would imagine that if the GMs who read the site posted, they would be limited to posting in the non-FFXI sections. Posting in the FFXI section would probably violate their nondisclosure agreements.

Nvm me, I'm dumb. I was thinking of "crashing" in 2 different ways. One is where FFXI/POL completely shutdown out of the blue, closing to your desktop. The other way is like when another program pops up on your desktop and forces you out of FFXI, but POL still remains up with an error. I guess that would be more of a d/c than a crash, though.

Not very. I'm hesitant to divulge how it works because then nubs like iiFuzz or whatever that fag's name is is going to build it in to FFXIApp.

Taj, your posts have been legendary. I give you props for your skills and I give you even more props for keeping this exploit underwraps till SE decides to fix it. More SS's and continue with the madess. I'm at work and need some entertainment.

As for the task force. I have made several calls on RmT at Ulli and the group kiting Ulli after a warp claim have suddenly "disconneted" while kiting. This has happened several times so GM's do sometimes do there jobs.
