It's probably pretty fucking terrible, but whatever, hear me out or don't.
I'd like to get together a cross-server Salvage network. Basically, this would consist of a bunch of no-longer-used accounts (preferably with nothing worth stealing in case we get some utter fucking morons, somehow) across multiple servers that could be used for salvage by people from other servers who want to find out as much as they can. There could be some sponsor groups or shells that can invite people to use these accounts to go along with them on Salvage runs when they need the manpower. Since the accounts aren't really used that often, XP loss shouldn't really be too much of a hassle. There's definitely a lot I have yet to hammer out about this, but it's something I figured I'd brainstormed on long enough, and would toss it out here for you guys to discuss/dismiss/whatever.
There are decent benefits for both sides. The people using the mule accounts get a bunch of new information on zones that haven't really been run too often yet, without having to worry about risking their main's precious buffer. The shells that sponsor the mule accounts get more manpower in their runs, and get some help from people in getting their members more armor pieces, without having to worry about more people lotting on the gear. I realize this requires a hell of a lot of trust, which is the main reason I figure this project would fail... but I like to hope that the main contributors on this section are trustworthy, and wouldn't jack an account instead of pursuing more knowledge. Also, I know a lot of people would really like a chance to play with another group of people once in a while, so that could be a fun little thing as well.
Anyways, that's my idea. Questions/comments are welcome.
