I hooked mine up through an FM modulator, and it works fine, you just have to find the right channel, and even then you get static sometime. But it works fine for the most part.Originally Posted by Mala

You hooked up an SD card through that or an Ipod? because im talking about SD cards now
if this works with sd cards i think i might go and pick one up now...basically it would act as a 2gig car ipod , and ill still have $100 left over.
I actually got a 2004 Mazda 6, but we leased it as soon as I got my license, and the lease is coming up in September... so we'll see, I'm still not so sure as to what I want to get, but I will take the port in mind.
EDIT: My post count > yours. :O
Yea lol that's why I was asking, but I get it now.
Sorry Mala, I misunderstood, I thought you were being sarcastic and screwing with me about the SD thing.
Edit - Ok lol?

So confused now
did you hook up an sd card through an fm modulator, or an ipod?
I got a 60GB iPod video. :> I <3 sitting in bed and watching V for Vendetta n' shiet. LASER LASS IS BANGIN'!
Thats what i have a laptop fori can't imagine watching a video on such a small screen.
Sorry.. I have my ipod hooked up through an FM modulator. And it works as I described.Originally Posted by Mala
I suppose if you have the 2 gig card, and found the modulator that can play music off of it then you're saving yourself 150 bucks (since you showed it costed about 50). And getting twice the capacity out of it.
Neither could I at first. But the 'fps' is super smooth and all.. crisp and nice, it's awesome to have on the bus or on long ass car rides.
My 80 can also obviously play movies as well. What is the battery time like on it when playing a movie?
I don't use an ipod.. but to play music I always used one of those cassette things that you can hook into a earphone jack. That sounds 99x better than over FM.
All the Mercedes for awhile had a tape deck in the front and a CD changer in the back.
Today though you might as well buy a new headunit that has a audio in jack, they are a lot more common today than the last time I bought a car.
This is true.. it is a lot better than an FM Modulator. My car though doesn't have a tape deck so it doesn't work.Originally Posted by Devek
On a related note to this thread, anyone know anything about those "Zune" things?
fuck it i think im just gonna save up for the 80gig
Good idea my friend.
They are big pieces of shit.Originally Posted by Po
You can't do anything with them, you have to repurchase all of your music over again, they are buggy, and cool features like 'squirting' are disabled on most music you buy anyway.
Buying them is like telling the entertainment industry you enjoy taking it in the ass.
hahaha tell us how you really feel.

$229 for the 60GB model. Factory refurb from Apple is the way to go. Or if the Nano is still on your mind, you can get a 4GB for $150.
Well worth it. I just picked one up last week (60GB). They are indistinguishable from a brand new model and they all come with a 1 year warranty.
Has anyone tried the Zune and is it worth buying?
