Yeah waiting for feb 22 to get my copy of this. :D
Judging from that, it looks to be a prequel to Path of Radiance.
It is a sequel not a prequelOriginally Posted by The Blackrose

Never played a FE game, but my friend said it's pretty cool. Either way the gfx look nice on this.![]()
Hmmm looks interesting. It reminds of another game.
Anyone ever play this epic gem:

Does anyone know if they play kind of the same? I kinda feel like picking up a FE game now.
Yay! RPGs! I'll be waiting patiently...

Between this and whenever Sega gets Shining Force I/II on the VC, I should be set for a loooooong while.
FE has always been a tatical rpg since the first game or srpg however you like to call it. At least FE stays the same throughout the 10 titles unlike some other company (I'm looking at you SEGA) *coughshiningforcecough* srpg changed till arpg.
P.S I would never call zelda a rpg, it's an action adventure game the most
I'm curious (and a little confused, to be honest), when did SF made the transition from srpg to arpg? I'm pretty sure SF1 -> SF2 stayed pretty consistent.Originally Posted by Miltani

It changed when sf3 came to an end. Then they came out with spawnlings of so called shiningforce game but only use the name shining and add some random name like soul wisdom tears wind and so on to it.Originally Posted by The Blackrose
The rest was ok but not TEARS. That game was the disgrace of the sf series imo. It was so badly done that I couldn't sit through to complete the game itself.
Then again sega redeemed themselves with shining force exa recently to a certain extend. Although it followed neo system and such, it's quite a interesting game i might say. (Only halfway thru it so i couldn't comment on it further). The only bad thing abt EXA is that it has a sword called Shining Force literally. I mean of all the name for a sword why use SF >.>
Have to wait for shining wind now since it's a sequel to lolTears but they seemed to revamped everything on wind. Only like 2 more months till 3/29 for me to see whether wind is as crappy as tears
Ok then, I wouldn't know because I never got to play SFIII. And just from looking at the derivatives I just wasn't excited. Good to know.Originally Posted by Miltani
The reason why SF3 wasn't translated to US and why the SF series sucked after that was simple.Originally Posted by Miltani
Sega was putting their efforts into Dreamcast and that pissed off Camelot, the real producers of the Shining series, and subsequently, Golden Sun, Mario Golf and Mario Tennis for GBA, so they dropped the translations.
Without the true producers, Sega decided to continue milking the Shining name which is why we had all those crap on PS2 and teh lolShiningSoul for GBA.
We can only pray for Nintendo to bitchslap them and make them kiss and make up if we ever wanna see a decent old skool Shining game ever again, or a port/translation of SF3.
