Someone drawing normal porn and someone drawing furry shit are 2 different things. Normal porn sells. Furry porn is niche. No one but a furry would draw furry porn, whereas many artists, including Azuma Kiyohiko, have drawn porn simply to make money.

End result is that Fred Perry is undeniably a fucking furry, which is fucking lol.

If by niche you mean always in demand by Comic Stores and constantly selling out of his titles, then yeah... Fred's stuff is niche.

As a former employee of Diamond Comic Distributors. I can't stress enough how in demand his stuff always is.

Am I am huge fan of his work? Not really although I think he is an incredible artist (and his less provocative stuff that I've seen is unbelievable!). But when his name is constantly brought up and also appears in the Top 100 as an Indy Title, you are almost obligated as fan to check out his stuff.

Fred is one of only a handful of artists out there who can actually ship out a title late and not have it effect his book's overall sales. Believe me when I say that not many people can make such a claim in this industry.

I've never once seen anything by Fred Perry anywhere but /b/ on friday. Also, you had to dig into the Top 100 Indy artists to find something worth mentioning. What, he's not even in the top 10? 50? No one will offer him a contract? The man doesn't even have a page on Wikipedia, barring the possibility that he is a 110 year old zombie tennis player.
