When i went to a tool concert at Freedom hall, maynard did the entire concert in whitey tighties standing behind the drummer. The artwork on the screens was amazing, apparently the bass player or something does digital graphics for major hollywood flicks.

I like his opinions and outlook on music and it seems like a dying concept(or maybe it never existed).

That said, I really hate concerts.

The guy is nuts, but APC and Tool are decent bands.. but the guy is nuts. The old quote 'there is a fine line between brillance and insanity' deffintly holds true with this guy.

Ive seen Tool live 24 times to date, if you include his side project APC.

Gotta love working for the prominent area rock station huh. Well, every single show, dating back to Ozzfest 98, he's been almost naked.

In fact, one time, he stripped down to his boxer briefs (always white, btw) and said "this is the unsexiest strip tease you've ever seen". Just stood out in my mind.

To answer your question, yes. And if I know Tool, which I do, he'd say something like "I feel more vulnerable, like the music, when I perform in that state. It makes me feel more intimate with the subject matter".

I've also seen Tool live, and youtube certainly doesn't do them justice. It is by far my favorite band and I was simply blown when I saw them live.

I couldnt explain this, its something that the tool fans understand, its something deep within us that draws us toward the art and feeling behind the music. His actions are not expected, which coorelate (sp?) with the message and emotion of the music. That probably doesnt make sense, but it does to me, and I'm not that articulate with this.
