Grats on the Baha v2 and Vrtra speed kills. That was cool. I think your Kraken strat on AV will get owned hard but who knows, you might get lucky. Even if you do it once I dont think that merits an "oh shit you are right rest of the world is wrong" but if you pull it off consistenly then its snap everyone eats their words.
Is there like proof of the guy in your ls thats on the Indy Colts team? That owns if he is tho. We have an Olympic caliber (think hes an alternate for the US team) gymnist on ours with videos.
Out of curiousity what mental handicap does Sinus have? Or are you refering to someone else?

Psh, who needs gear advancement when you can metagame the best sub-job and ability combinations to defeat the hardest things in the game in 2 minutes. That's real advancement.
I loved that adamantoise video. Course they didn't make a big deal of the other mages nuking it.

To Ruke, here's our theory:
/THEORY DISCLAIMER ON/
We know AV has Regen, we know you can lower the regen with the same JoL tactics. Benediction number contradictions can only mean one thing.
AV's HP bars with Regen up, completely theoretical/made up numbers
[--------------------] 100,000 HP Bar (the shown bar)
[----------] 50,000 Regen Bar
You do 10,000 burst damage to AV (has to be in one burst so its easier to explain).
[------------------xx] 90,000
[----------] 50,000
Then you stop damage, and let him regen. (again, easiest to show this happening in bursts then while actively damaging/regening).
[--------------------] 100,000
[--------xx] 40,000
Another 20,000 burst damage followed by regen would result in this.
[--------------------] 100,000
[----xxxxxx] 20,000
(Bars are not to scale/accurate because of how forums deal with spacing ;; /changes to X's)
Basically what this is showing is a second HP/Regen bar, refilling AVs HP as he regens. Now, say you take him to 70% while his regen bar is still active. Lets for arguments sake, say his regen bar is at 50%. Then AV benedictions:
30,000 for the Main Bar, 25,000 for the Regen Bar = 55,000.
Now lets say its later in the fight, and you've removed his regen. Aka: His regen bar is now empty. When its empty, its gone. Look at it like a second mob. You've killed it, so benediction will no longer effect it. You drop AV 50% this time, before he Benedictions again.
50,000 for the main Bar, nothing for the regen bar = 50,000.
Lower %, but benedictioned for less because his regen bar has been removed. We believe this is also how JoL functions. He also hits a point where his regen is magically gone, and is much easier to damage. But its impossible to come to this conclusion with that fight, because JoL never benedictions and we cant see his max HP numbers. However, its safe to assume that both enemies work the same way since the ways to remove their regen are also the same.
How does this relate to the elemental nuking/summons killing that we know affects both AV/JoLs regen? Our theory is that damage to the summons/damage to AV/JoL using the right element is direct damage to their regen bars.
/THEORY DISCLAIMER OFF/
Do with that what you will.
I don't know if it was a glitch or what happened but we absolutly got owned in the face when we tried to chainstun Kraken Cerb's last 5%, he managed to get off 2 GoH, well geared rdm too.Originally Posted by Quicklet

Cerb can resist rdm's stun, and land a GoH or stoneskin.
Krakken works well against khimairai as far as I know, but you can't chainspell stun it
Prolly ofn w/e but whats the trick to stop melee shield? First time we killed we took him out fast as shit but second time it spammed melee shield >_>;Originally Posted by Kaylia
Well, B2 builds up stun resist fairly quickly, too, becoming immune to it by the end of the fight even when stunning only Firaga IVs. But it worked for B2, so I can only imagine it should work for Khimaira, given that both mobs build stun resistance. You just have to kill it before it becomes immune, like B2. If you're paranoid that /DRK stun might be resisted anyways, then overlap some RDMs and have some BLMs randomly stun, too.Originally Posted by Kaylia
by dunno if it was a glitch, he basically resisted 90% of the stuns during chainspell, which would be high. With the amount of tp given it made him impossible to handle.
I've never heard of that particular theory before (although I did hear of some different variations of a similar concept), but it's a really interesting idea. It would make sense and also explain the weird results with Benediction, and yeah thinking of it JoL seems like it could possibly follow those rules.Originally Posted by Celeras
But, by that theory wouldn't you have to deal with good part of the regen bar in addition to the 100k you theorized as AV's HP? All in all even if it was just over a 60 second period, his crazy regen would add a good deal onto the 100k.
I think I remember the old estimiation of AV's Regen was something like 500 HP a tick... I'm not certain about that number for sure though.
Let's say 63s actual fight. 63/3*500=21*500=10500 HP, so ~one more kclub drk worth of HP.Originally Posted by RKenshin
Would take 12-13 as mentioned earlier assuming 10k per DRK, but it'd also be imperitive to keep all of them alive.
One question I meant to ask earlier too... Do you literally have 12 kraken DRKs? Or is it a combination of Kraken/Ridill/etc DRKs? We have a max of like 5-6 I think, and I though that was above average.
I think if you couldn't find enough kraken's or ridill drk's you could get away using M.kris daggers, with dual march and haste you would still be dropping considerable damage.
100,000 is just an easy number to explain with, I have no idea what his actual HP is. The benediction numbers suggest it is somewhere in that vicinity though, maybe even less once the regen bar is completely gone. No way of telling how big the regen bar is though. Closest you could get to that would be to actually count the wyverns killed and find out how much HP each has.. then estimate once his regen drops down to that of base NMs.Originally Posted by RKenshin
But once the regen is dealt with (back to the old killing wyverns), it would be much more manageable to deal with then just zerging with drks right off the bat.
Of course, good luck killing fast enough to survive meteor mode. I personally dont think it can be done.
I think it can be done, you just need a lot of luck and perfect execution. And you basically need enough drk power to drop it in about a minute - 1.5minutes tops. Worth a try if you have the drks to do it, anything is better than just letting it depop unchallenged.
18 drk krakens can probably do it in that time. Not sure if anyone else can.Originally Posted by terraflarex
