Genbu has a hidden counter effect that doesnt show up in log. Taera didnt know about it and we told him to kraken it and he was dead in about 5s with nothing in log to show how he died lol.

He does, does he? That would explain why he'd randomly destroy melees as he runs around, I always thought it was just some sort of ADD thing. Which didn't make sense since we just have everyone blast him from the start and the fight is basically 3 minutes of BLMs kiting.

Oh, and we have a BLM with a kraken, I'm gonna dare him to smack Genbu in the face next time.

I think it can be done, you just need a lot of luck and perfect execution. And you basically need enough drk power to drop it in about a minute - 1.5minutes tops. Worth a try if you have the drks to do it, anything is better than just letting it depop unchallenged.

18 drk krakens can probably do it in that time. Not sure if anyone else can.

Without some form of disable (wall-o-justice, full/partial lock, stun lock and so on) even the best equiped tanks with the very best support aren't going to stand a chance.

Last time we fought AV (a few times keeping it up), We had about 50% of our PLD's left standing after a Meteor... as Aers said, the only issue is the rest of your alliance is dead at this point making any progression pointless.

I've also given the LS a strategy for dealing with AOE issues... but we'll see how that pans out next time we try AV. Keeping tanks alive is easy.... keeping the rest of the Alliance alive through AOE is the hard part.

You also have the possibility of PD being the 2hr of choice during that zerg rush.

Assuming either of the theories about limited regen are correct, then you could zerg AV with kraken-drks, then if everyone wipes, have level 1s claim AV to keep him from resetting, and use level 1 CORs to recharge the dark knights for another attempt. Repeat until he dies.
