Sorry if I missed anyone, but thats more or less how I read the whole thing.
I'll conceed(how generous of me I know) that Apathy didn't start this thread, but if yall are so sure your plan is going to work, then stop posting until it does work and you can make us eat our words. If you're pissed at people offering criticisms to the vague abortion of a plan, saying "we've taken that into consideration" is kind of a copout. You've taken it into consideration in that you're aware that a Drk is going to get face planted in about 2 seconds from AV(about the amount of time it takes for one pld to disband, and another to /join /ja Cover <already dead drk>), or you've taken into consideration in that you actually have a way around it that you're sure will work?
If you don't want to tell anyone, and are so sure its going to work, then seriously shutup till you do it. The vid will be running regardless if you wipe so I hope you have the balls to post it if you fail miserably. If you're actually interested in perfecting your strat then tell people your plan so they can give some serious input, and the forums can be used for *gasp* discussion. Strange concept I know. You guys keep saying we're assuming you haven't taken stuff into account, but frankly you haven't given anyone any reason to assume you have. When someone offers some very real critique in an effort to try to understand what you're doing/help you do it, all you do is attack him for no reason I can see.(seriously, all the hating on ruke was pretty lame. Some thoughtful responses instead of being total dicks would have kept the thread pretty civil and possibly have made it productive to boot. I know Ruke doesn't have leveled Drk, or have a kclub, and hasn't killed AV before, but....oh wait nvm).
I've seen kclub drks taken to AV. When FM popped AV on carby, they tried to use 2 kclub drks and a blm zerg to get it down to 90% hoping it would lock at that point. They took about 9% off. Maybe you're correct in that it only has like 100k HP, but I think it has around double that, or maybe theres something to that regen bar thing.
Either way, from the incredibly vague hints you've posted on this thread, I can only guess that your strat looks something like this. I'm sure I haven't even begun to take into account everything you already have, and I certainly don't know all your resources, so feel free to correct any assumptions and make ME eat my own words.
Ok, the max number of drks you can have in an alliance while still having all of them covered is 9. I dunno if you guys plan to do this in two waves of drks(do you guys have 18 decently equipped drks? I mean kclubs can be traded, so as long as they all have good gear they CAN be staggered in. Like I said I dunno what your personel logistics look like). I'll assume for now you plan for those 9 drks to do all the dmg(which assumes AV has around 100k HP, and that all those drks will have the gear and support necessary to pull out over 11k dmg, maybe have a blm alliance standing by to nuke the last few% if necessary as backup).
So you'll have 3 parties that look like
3x drk, brd, brd, cor or some shit like that(double march, double madrigal, hunter's roll or some shit. All brd songs soulvoiced). Maybe have a thf in a party right before you engage to put feint on and disband.
Then have all the support guys disband and put plds in their place to cover > invincible each drk. Halfway through you'll need to swap out plds, which is going to be the most dangerous time of this rather chancy strat because there will be a few brief seconds where a drk is engaged without cover. You'll probably stagger the tradeouts somewhat so you have as few drks exposed as possible. If you lose a drk a huge chunk of your dmg goes. Dunno if you have backups. Either way your plds are going to have to be fucking quick as shit, but we'll assume you're ready for that with all the macros in place for a quick switch out.
Assuming 9 drks is enough dmg, and assuming you can do the pld switchout quickly, the only variable left to consider is the most opportune time to engage AV. If its in any mode where it can cast spells, you're pretty much fucked the second an AoE spell comes down the pipe(single target spells can be eaten by /nin at least).
If AV doesn't WS or cast magic during mighty strikes(I can't honestly remember if it does or not), then thats probably your best bet since Mighty Strikes is easily the weakest of his two hours if he's not WSing at all. Your drks can stand up for the brief seconds to normal melee strikes with /nin when the plds change out if its not also hundred fisting(if hundred fisting the danger becomes much increased that a drk will drop during the change out). If he does cast magic or WS during that time, you're probably fucked from the get go if he uses anything AOE whatsoever.
Alternatively you could do 6 drks/6 plds/6 brds in the alliance, switch out the 6 brds for plds and let the plds properly stagger cover with no gaps in coverage, which is safer for your drks, but Im pretty hairy on whether 6 drks is really enough myself. Yeah Drk+Kraken is A LOT of burst dmg, but AV also has ALOT of HP. Maybe start with 6 Drks, then when their souleaters are down, rotate 3-6 more drks+plds in to finish the job. Of course if you do that, theres no knowing what will happen what will happen when AV comes out of our assumed weakened MS/HF mode, so this version seems to create more problems than it solves, as a benediction, chainspell(and therefore meteor), manafont, or whatever at this point can pretty much butt fuck your whole day.
Keep in mind that MS/HF only last 45 seconds, so if AV isn't pretty much dead in that time, chances are he'll drop your drks with some AoE rape move that will probably kill your drks mid combat round(sans bloodweapon at this point) where they're likely to have 700ish HP at best, before the cure Vs that were being casted anyway land. Hope you have 18 blms standing outside AoE range ready to rush in and seal the deal if you have to.
Assuming all that is the hard part, then all you gotta do is engage AV with a team that can live long enough to get him to use the right two hour so your main alliance can engage without threat of insta cast -ga 4/meteor or
other various forms of AV rape(the great thing about AV is that he's so varied on how many ways he has to shove that javelin up your ass).
Your reaction time is going to need to be hella quick so you can take full advantage of that 45 second window, because the clock is ticking the second that the two hour is used. Dunno if you'll have time to soul voice your songs(might wanna have your brds keeping the songs up as their cast time comes up so you don't waste precious seconds buffing. Same with the whms keeping the drks hasted). All in all, it will probably take you at least 5 seconds from the time you see the 2 hour used to having all drks engaged. Maybe less, but better to err on the side of caution. So at best you're looking at doing 100k dmg in 40 seconds or there abouts.
Dunno how close that was to your guys' strat. Since I'm sure I'm speculating on what amount to state secrets I'm pretty sure you guys won't tell me where I'm wrong, though others may feel free to point out what will go wrong with what I outlined above(and I'm sure theres a fucking lot that can go wrong still). I may be way off base, but based on what little I can tell from your LS resources, and the vague hints you've given, thats all I can think to do.
BTW, kraken drk x alot isn't really thinking outside the box per se. Theres probably not an endgame player out there who hasn't joked at least once about just getting a bunch of kraken drks to zerg mob x. The inevitable retort to the joke is "yeah sure, but where are you going to find that many kraken drks". I credit your guys' resources in getting that many people to level drk, and getting them all equipped with kclubs though. Thats certainly a credit to your logistics team if nothing else.
