Well that's why I made sure to specify, HNMs and beyond was what I meant by "but it's sort of eh if you plan on using it for any purpose higher than VT-low IT merit monkeying." sorry for the vague wording.
Ryko already answered, yep I'm sure about the offhand multi-hit on WS thing.
As for Joyeuse on HNM, it's kind of like how a NIN with Unji/Unsho can be a top DD in exp, but on HNM it starts to fall short. It's not quite so pronounced with Joyeuse, and it's usable on HNM, but the harder the target gets the more it starts to lose it's advantage.
from what I gather though, someone can be 8sword/4axe and still be able to do very well axe/axe on hnm, if it was desired. However, it seems to me its harder to be 8axe/4sword and still be able to off-hand joy well. 8axe/4sword seem, at least to me, to be an all-or-nothing deal, where you're using axes and nothing else. I'm sure I can still deal well on HNM with 8 less acc/atk on dual-axe.
Yep, you can still do fine dual axe on HNM with 8 sword/4 axe if that's your inclination. I have 8 sword/4 axe and might wind up dropping a few axe for katana when my NIN gets to 75. When I go to anything harder than exp I'm generally tanking on PLD or WAR or I'm (more often) on RDM.Originally Posted by Evelyn
I think I prefered Axe/Axe on nms over anything else. Higher skill level, damage output really was nice but on top of that with maneater/juggy combo you have a hefty amount of att and 3str for some very nice rampage spamming... since nobody SC/Bursts anymore.![]()
anyone parsed ridil+joy vs ridil+maneater or jugg? i know ridil+maneater would be more? but by how much?
ok
