It's kinda nice, though. It means you can just put the game on autodash and never bother devoting a relic slot to the sprint shoes. I tried stacking both but it was just too fast, it felt retarded.
@the opera house I f'd up and went the wrong way. So I threw on Sprint Shoes and rocked the house.

I'm sure you all know this...@Zozo steal from Hill Gigas get Gigas Braclet. Throw on Edgar and do 1k Chain Saws @lv16. Olawd. I tried to get Dragon (Dragoon Boots now) off the Thiefs there, but kept getting silver specs. >____________>; and the boss gave me the bad item when I stole...orz.

The oprea scene, before Celes went to "Sing", Locke's line where completely differnet. Was nice, added a little more to his story line.

Oh and someone complained about gamestop and reserves, click this it's about them screwing people on reserves

You're using rom? That happens when you try to rts right?
No, I'm playing the real thing on my DS. lol

EDIT: That's complete BS, Gamestop's reserves go into their computer database, your slip is NOT the only proof of your reserve, unless this article was referring to something happening years ago under Gamestop's Legacy POS and not the new EB Advanced POS. If you put a reservation down on a game, it goes into the computer with all the other reservations, if you lose your slip, you just give them your name and an ID and your res will be pulled up.

It can not be BS. It was on a web blog! HAS TO BE TRUE ZOGM! If they sell you a used copy of the game, and you paid 10$ reserve, wouldn't it be like they're selling a new copy with the reserve?

I doubt it's anything so rare as to be impossible to find on amazon or somewhere later on. It was only released last year, and it's a remake of a game that's seen two or three previous remakes already. I wouldn't sweat it.

Target in my area still has a stack of FFIV next to the V's and VI's.

He's in there just like the original and his lines are slightly adjusted(for the better).

I hear Gilgamesh is in the game. Did they keep his original battle theme from FFV?

Yes, he's one of the secret espers; no there is no "Battle on the Big Bridge" music.

    Note about translation:

NoA was in charge of censoring everything, we tried to get them to keep it as close to the original as possible. Some they did, some they didn't. They basically updated the FF: Anthology translation over FF3US.

I don't currently have the Anthology version available to me, but was the Vanish + Doom trick fixed in that version? As well as the Magic Evasion bug? Because they are fixed in the AGB version. >.>

they fixed the magic evasion bug, but equiping aegis with the armor that halves magical damage is a pretty good substitute. Doomgaze casts Blizzaga, Celes evades or takes 85 dmg at level 37. either way, i laugh and whack him with a 5k phantom rush.

The Anthologies version wasn't an updated story translation, all they did was rename the items. It's hillarious too because after you get Locke back in the WoR, he names off the loot he stole from the chests and he still says "Fenix Down" even though the items are all renamed. Lazy fucks.

I haven't gotten to Relm in the WoR yet but I'm willing to bet Chadernook is censored just like in the US SNES version since the esper models(Starlet and Siren) are as well. I'm still grumbling that they completely removed Celes' tortue scene. They have swearing in it but oh no, can't have a woman chained up and being beaten!

As far as the battle system goes in Anthology, it's just a port of the final SNES version so Vanish+Doom, the evade bug, and blindness bugs are all intact.

Can someone explain to an uninformed person such as myself what is different (good bad) than the SNES version? All this talk makes me want to dust off my SNES and throw in FF6.

I don't usually say this, but I always find info like this out at GameFAQs lol. I think it is mostly a translation update and new espers?

    God Bless Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Fantasy_6 :

Final Fantasy VI was rereleased as Final Fantasy VI Advance (ファイナルファンタジーVIアドバンス, Fainaru Fantajī Shikkusu Adobansu?) in Japan on November 30, 2006, and in North America on February 5, 2007 on the Game Boy Advance. It includes additional gameplay features and enhanced visuals. Four new Espers appear in this re-release - Leviathan, Gilgamesh, Gigantuar (a giant Cactuar), and Final Fantasy VIII's Diablos; along with a new dungeon called the Dragon's Den, as well as a Soul Shrine, a place where the player can fight monsters continuously. Three new spells also appear: Flood, Valor, and Gravija. In addition, like the other handheld Final Fantasy re-releases, a bestiary and music player are included. The game is packaged in a new boxart illustrated by series mainstay, Yoshitaka Amano. The North American release contains a new translation, and is rated E10+ by the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

From a technical stand point, the game plays largely like its original version with some minor slowdown issues during larger battle animations and the new translation is largely a combination between Ted Woolsey's original translation for the Super Nintendo (with minor changes to the script and other changes to rectify the original content editing) and the original version in Japan (many of the names for spells, enemies, Espers, and items were renamed to more closely reflect the Japanese version). However, one new edit has been made to the game: the beating that Celes receives during Locke's Solo Scenario is removed. This edit, however, stems from the original Japanese version and therefore is not a result of the localization. Also Siren and Starlet have been edited like the American SNES. [citation needed]
I have a GBA SP and I own mostly RPGs for it. I don't know if I want to spend another $30 on this when I have the SNES version a few feet away, even for the new espers. I don't know...someone give me a good argument. Is the music better/worse? Would almost rather see this game on a big tv than on the small GBA SP screen.
