Most likely, its just for the "Status" thing like they do on my server. Brought up a good point, since I checked our conte corazza prices on our server and found the same thing was done. Dalet is a 100 bonecrafter, super rich, and when I got my corazza synthed over a year ago, it HQ'd and there really wasn't a market for that armour, since NQ's were going for 15-20M at the time (price of 1 ore). Dalet bought my conte when I was finishing off relic horn, for 70M +nq corazza+10M in items, so he went and put that sale up on the AH as a status thing. He had the rest of the Conte set, except for body for his DRG, so to him, it was definitely worth it, he had been trying for HQ for about 6 months, buying ores from our LS as fast as we could farm Jorm.

yea, one of my friends that knows Japanese sent him a tell asking why. He said that he just wanted it up there for e-peen basically. It's ok, almost everyone knows it was mine anyways.

Guy who bought my item, and spurred the whole OP for me, said it was to remove a sig from an item that was signed by some random crafter (me).

While I can see removing sigs and reselling for epeen, thats pretty weird. If I were to buy and resell a super rare item (like, say, Blessed Pumps +1 or something) from a craft not my own, it'd be fairly easy to see that it wasn't my own synth.

Course, that is along the lines of thinking that everyone knows everyone else's crafts. If I see Ono or Kalia or Kittyn (three synthers I can rattle off on my own server) self-self a Blessed Briault +1, I know it's not signed by them. Lessen it was by a mule.

Also, for real giggles, after looking at Unicorn's Aristocrat's coat history, look at Valefor's. God, I remember when that 100M sale happened!

My friend signed me a haubergeon NQ back in 2005, it was his first hauby synth. I later upgraded to a hauby+1, gave the signed one to someone in my ls who was leveling warrior to hold long term. That character got banned and the NQ signed hauby was one of the few things I still had I still wear it now, though I'm thinking about upgrading and doing the same thing again.

I go out of my way to buy clothes with small or non-existant logos. I've never cared for stores like American Eagle, or the Gap where you will pay a premium price just to get someone's logo on your t-shirt. I don't believe that I should pay to do the job of someone else's Marketing department and advertise for a company because that company is trying to tell me that their logo is somehow a "style choice."

In game, if I find a good deal on a signed item that's sitting in someone's bazaar in Rolanmart, and it's a person whom I neither know nor care about, I'm going to erase the signature out of the same principle. I have no desire to advertise freely for some stranger, and I'm sure as hell not going to spend my money to advertise for Joe Schmo crafter.

Now, having said that, when I want an item that's hard to come by and is crafted, I will also go out of my way to find a friend to craft it first. I will support friends' signed items, and in that case, I would never erase the signature without consulting them first.

I can't stand signed gear and when I have others craft for me, I provide them with regular crystals. It's just super tacky to me for some reason. Maybe it's the extra line on descrption window or having several different names but I hate it. If I ever bought something from a bazaar with a name on it, I'm erasing sig no doubt.

Only signed staves for my LS mates so far. The #2 HQ Mezraq (and last one made on server, and ever ) was made by me and as far as I know the buyer kept my signature. (It was my condition of sale).

And yeah, I would be offended if that guy erased my signature off the Mezraq since as a Woodworker, I have few other things I could sign that is of value.

I usually don't care what happens to my name on an item if i sell it, but, recently had someone request it be signed then sold it on the AH the next day >.> I did find that rather rude. Mostly cause I had to go out of my way to town to get an HQ crystal D:

When that happens, the person is just cheap and an asshole. If you're just gonna sell it or erase the signature, just get a god damn normal crystal. I don't think anyone wants to waste their guild points just because someone is cheap and wants to save ~100g.

As for erasing sigs, I only erase sigs on items when people become cunts. I had [Napolean] signed Snow rings that I erased a long time ago on sandoria's AH, hmmmm I have a bunch of mage gear that could do with some erasing now.

And back on topic, I'll never ever ever spend GP on signing crystals. I dont like signed gear and I dont plan on contributing to something I don't like. Plus spending GPs on something that someone could just go and erase or become a huge douche running around with my name on their gear is just a slap in the face.

I remember this was about 2 years ago, I was commissioned to do synths for an acquaintance named Visconti. It was a Weskit synth and a Dragon Harness synth. First I synthed the Weskit resulting in an NQ, he goes and buys the mats for Dragon Harness. I proceed to synth and BAM! HQ! It was signed [Immasureloc], the second Dragon Harness +1 on the server. I give him the synths and we part ways. It was supposed to be for his personal use but he ends up lending it to this THF in his LS, which was leveling bonecraft. Next thing I know, I see this THF sell the signed Dragon Harness +1 I made to himself on AH to erase my name and make it seem like he was the one who made it. I was fuming, especially since it was so rare two years ago. Im still kind of angry about it today, lol.
