I own both a PS3 and Xbox360, and in the launch titles of the PS3 it was clear that it's capabilities were far above 360s. It's only a matter of time until the PS is king, again.

And it costs what it does because of the Blu-Ray player, which can run as high as $800-$1000 on its own.

The launch titles aren't great, I'll gladly admit that. Xbox has been out for a year, and when the PS3's next birthday comes around the competition really won't even be close. DMC4, GTA4, MGS4, etc. etc.

I'll be laughing watching 360 GoW fanboys cry themselves to sleep.

Am I wrong for not really liking DMC, MGS series and the like? For me MGS went to shit with Sons of Liberty. It was hyped so much then when I play it all it really had was nice graphics and a shitty story that made me not really give a damn about anyone, not even Snake. Maybe it was the boat... boats piss me off.

DMC, I'll admit I never played it but if I did I would probably like it. Then it would be traded away most likely. I like to get my money's worth and DMC seems like it's one of those games that once you beat, there really ain't shit to do.

Same thing would have happened to my Ninja Gaiden which I hear is very similar to DMC, but then they released all those updates which really made me feel like those $50 were well spent.

I guess that's why I like 360, xboxlive is really really cool for stuff like that. Not every game gets downloadable goodies, but the best games usually get the best stuff, which makes sense.

I kinda went OFT, but anyway, those are all sequels. The only new thing that Sony showed that looks really sweet is that White Knight rpg. That trailer gave me a half-stock, for real.

You'll be lucky to see MG4 out by next year, much less next november when PS3 is a year old. GTA4 is launching on xbox on the same day, and its already been said that microsoft payed up to get extra downloads through XBL.

And jesus christ when will people shut up about DMC. The game is good but no where near $600 good. Halo shits on DMC in terms of everything.

The only reason to buy a PS3 now is for bluray.

I know that you were talking about movies, but the 200 price tag on that stupid HD-DVD is ridiculous IMO, especially since I got the bluray on the PS3 lol...

The bluray addition costs the same as the hd-dvd addition dude. It is essentially the system + the blu ray for 600, just like if you get the hd-dvd it costs 200 more, so what the hell are you talking about? MS just doesn't make you get it.
I very much want to play MGS4 and DMC4 as well, but I of course will wait until they come out, and wait to see if they plan on porting them to 360 after anyway. Which, unless, Konami and Capcom don't like money they would probably do, unless Sony all of a sudden sells 5 mil+ PS3s the month those come out, I guess time will tell.
My Wii is actually the one collecting dust right now I have built an awesome group of friends in Gears, and if you have that, it is the most fun game in the world.

Games have worked fine on 4+ gigs for years with excellent graphics, music, storyline, everything. I doubt 50 gigs is going to make that big a difference in what has already been done.

If and when a game developer would need the full capacity of an HD-DVD or BluRay for a game it is still years off.

True, but if and when they do use an HD DVD for games, i'm sure they will look a lot better because there won't be any space issues to get the msot out of the system. Same thing goes for future PS3 releases.

And honestly, even if GoW graphics were not the apex of this generation, that is as good as I will ever need graphics to look. And honestly I don't see how it can look much better than that, without it being real life or w/e.

Boyiee, I just read this morning that AC4 is confirmed to not have voice chat for PS3. Voice chat will only be included with the 360 version, so maybe your 360 might be getting dusted off if that is enough to sway you towards picking up AC4 on the 360 instead of the PS3. :wink:
