2-Boxing How does it work?

My brother just gave me his acount, and I wanted to be able to 2-box so I can use his 48 THF as a TH whore. Is it just a matter of installing a 2nd copy of FFXI/POL in another directory and then using windower to ALT-TAB between the two, or is there something missing?

you don't need a 2nd directory/install. if you use windower just run it twice.

Just add the other account when you start up POL, well from Windower obviously.

I would suggested the 2nd account have all the settings cranked all the way down. Remvoe Shadowing, Weather effects, etc. I also recommend removing audio, because its really annoying

Well, I have FFXI install on my PC, my PS2 and my laptop. So I just played multiple systems at once.

I play X360 as my main Client for ffxi, then my Alt is PS2 (I usually put my alt account on this guy) but I can also use PC. But due to power supply issues... I rarely ever use PC.

I only have one TV and no PIP so I'm stuck changing inputs but typically I have a /follow Sassi macro if I need to travel I should make a sneak and invis one as well really

I use a laptop for one account and a desktop for another when we're in a jam at a big fight. It's super easy at Fafnir since you don't move, I play WHM with my left hand and RDM with my right =P

Anyway, I was wondering, with all the ban and "bad packets" stuff, could dual boxing with 2 Windowers on same PC/Screen create that?

I have a similar setup if I really wanted to get one going. (not enough time to play due to work).

Running dual screen for my main comp + 2 laptops with FFXI on it. Would get a PS2 so I can quad box but I really don't want to move my plasma from teh first floor.

I really need to get out more.

I've seen that picture a long time ago... I never realized this before today but... none of those characters are in sky or castle oztroja! In fact their either in front of AH or in MH. Seems like transaction mules to me.
