I only use calls when I'm part of a skillchain so that I wake up any BLM that drifts off. And even then it's usually the gong or the boing or something like that. Calls 1-3 have no place in any party ever, unless you're waking up someone that fell asleep, and even then only if you warn everyone first.

The only call macro I use is <call14> on my tp, I think it really goes along with it

TBH I hate ANY call macro. They should be used only for the purposes of spamming to try to wake up someone who fell asleep. No call needs EVER be in a macro, let alone one you will use regularly. I think even /p macros are vastly overused. No one needs a /p for provoke.
    i totally agree
some ppl are so oblivious in some parties, but not me
i dont need you to say your voking the mob, i already can see when you do it
same with your cure macros and etc
and yea i can tell you are NOT hasting me you stinky lil rdm
    GTFO /P MACROS
unless it is tp...or sc....somthing important like that
i dont need you saying what you are doing in /p to know if you're playing your role like you should

I just have an /p line in my Lullaby/Horde macro so some dozy melee doesn't start whacking on the wrong Sea Puk. Autotranslated so there's no excuses.

The whistle is good for waking people up who fall asleep

i levelled all the magey-type jobs so i always felt i shouldnt use calls or spam the /party chat with anything ,

i disaprove of calls tho, do ur bloody head in (lol even for pulling, lol thats hilarious, browsing the net and switch back to find everyone dead lol, okay so thats the only time calls are ok and even then only call10,11 or 20 >.>)

i also disaprove of macroing stuff for party chat, some is unncessary (i mean the sissy whm who dies will always have that hissy fit regardless of how much evidence the tank can show that he did provoke - and yeh i'm the sissy whm ^^)

other macro-party chat is too machine-like. I want people to say something real to me, not spent 3hrs hearing their macros and nothing else, whats the point of playing an MMO just to mindlessly grind and ignore the social aspect

Only /p I used to macro with RDM is dispel. Because I was sick of dispelling stuff and people still telling me to dispel because they didn't see it.

See if you're SMRT like me, you changed your first 5 calls into the fairy from LoZ: OoT. 8)

"Hey!" is much better than "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!A:LSKDFJL:KFJL:KDFJLSKFJWAKEU P"

I added /p macros on RDM once (no calls though), I got sick of our RDM's joyeuseing their way through our dynamis so I added a polite /p line to para/slow/blind/dia/bio/poison/sleep/sleepga/sleep2 and made sure I fully debuffed every single mob we pulled. It was annoying and they probably didn't even notice between joyeuse swings but it made me feel better.

I used /p macros when levelling WHM for a while cause I got so irritated with tanks and melee claiming I didn't haste or erase them so I wanted to prove I did. At one point my haste macro was 'Here's your dam Haste now stfu' >.>

    I now use no party macros at all on BRD SMN. Only use one for Stun on BLM and RDM/DRK and Tect/Shell Gather Together notice on WHM. I use them sparingly on SAM ie for WSs and TP notice but I NEVER use <calls> >.> I play with the game volume off while on Skype to people and the <calls> still get through and it kills my ears ; ;

Only /p I have are, like others, pro and shell for whm (cause someone inevitably runs off), Stun for blm, and for my old ls I used to have a sleep macro for dynamis, cause I was sick of seeing mobs I had slept woken up by a retard. The whistles and trumpets need to be removed from the game, and all replaced by <call14>
