All those items are still in the .dat files of the game, and are out of reach, so even if for some freak reason you had them in your inventory, you wouldn't be able to equip them

Two completely different sets IMO, I use full barfira (175) on Timmy in the air, and use -magic % on things like JoL, Ultima ect.

The game is probably keyed so that jobs are added to the type of armor (stout cloth, leather, plate armor, chain armor) and that cascades down to all of the armor belonging to that type unless the specific armor is otherwise specified for only certain jobs.

At least that is how I would do it...
