Newbie Vanguard experience from end-game FFXI player

Friend of mine was perfectly capable of doing WoW or EQ2.

Vanguard essentially means rebuilding her computer, cause when she loaded Vanguard, it lagged so hard she took 30 seconds to turn 180 degrees...on minimum settings.

They released a year too early, IMHO.

As someone who can run the game on max settings I must be honest. The game is fun. More enjoyable then FFXI and WoW to me... It fits my play style better then the classes are much more flushed out.

I regularly use 3x more abilities then I did in WoW... and well FFXI classes have barely any abilities so thats another story unless they are a caster.

By level 30 you are already doing encounters that feel epic. The Infinium quest line which runs from level 22-28/30 which cumulates in a battle high in a tower overlooking Qalia. The final boss of this questline feels more fleshed out then any encounter FFXI has... and nears the complexity of a few WoW raid encounters.

The dungeons well... I've already been in more by level 29 then in 60 levels of WoW. They feel more complex and well thought out then any instance. The vast majority of dungeons are larger then Blackrock Depths.

As for XP... I enjoy the fact I can solo, duo or group. Although, the sweet spot for XP appears to be duoing/trioing. As a Blood Mage with a Bard I can get around 15% of a level an hour at 29.

Ohh yeah, unlike WoW I actually feel attachment to my character. Only other two games to make me feel attached to my characters were FFXI and EQ1.
