Just curious, and in an attempt to rerail this into a story-related thread, the wiki says this for each Empty type category: "A family of Empty, the lost souls and memories of the dead who have died in the Tavnazian attack." When is this ever said? I had always thought Empty were souls from that crystal (particularly, those with more Emptiness in their souls because of their names), and the Promyvion areas were formed from those souls' memories. And Apollyon is special and wouldn't have any Empty because the fifth crystal lost its light (+the souls of that crystal are the quasilumins?)

EDIT: Also, are receptacles really Empty, or are they "special"?

I don't know the specifics, I just thought that Promyvion and the Empty were materializations of Emptiness created by the dead living within each Mothercrystal.
