What's the calculation you used for that?
And what would a warrior have to wear to hit 17 on a regular basis? if at all possible with Man/rid.
-Synched
276(maneater)+236(ridill) = 512
512 x 0.85(DWII) = 435
435/2 = 217 delay per hand
5+ (217 - 180)x6.5/270 = 5.8 TP per hand
with Store TP : 5.8* (1 + 0.5(rajas)+0.1(brutal)) = 6.1 per hand
dual wield with 2 swings hit = 6.1 x 2 = 12.2TP
with 4 additional hit from rampage = 12.2 + 4x1 TP/hit = 16.2 TP
with DA : you know it
no comment how'd he get 17 on a regular basis. as I said, it's a bit unrealistic, unless all the DA equip available right now really does something very significant to DA increase

Did Avesta make a video of the time he solo'd the RDM NM (Dynamis-Xarc)? I know he did actually do it.. and basically just zombied it with tons of RR's and DOT's, as I have seen screenshots of it before. This was quite awhile ago so... I forget if he had someone else in zone to get the Hat if it droped or if he did it alone though =/Originally Posted by RKenshin

That was Marquis Orias, the BLM one. Duke Berith would be too much of a bitch to even attempt to solo thanks to the fact he is RDM...regen, cures, stoneskin...Originally Posted by Akroma_Seraph

Didn't think this meritted (lolpun) starting a new thread, so:
Now that most of my experience pointing is done, it's time to move onto merits. This is what I'm thinking of doing, and my jobs are (or soon will be) RDM(dead), MNK, NIN, SAM. NIN being just for NMs/missions/farming/random help, MNK for meripo/burns, and SAM for endgame (hopefully that helps with priority).
HP/MP
HP: 8
Attributes
STR: 5
Combat Skills (this one has really fucked with me)
GKT: 8
Evasion: 4
Magic Skills
Ninjutsu: 8
Others
Crit up: 4
Spell Interupt?: 4
Monk (I really have no idea about Group 2)
Counter: 5
Kick: 5
Penance: 3
Formless: 3
Samurai
Completely up to suggestion
Ninja
Subtle Blow: 5
???: ???
Ninja Tool Expertise: 3
Sange: 3
How far out in left field am I?
Max you can have for a non-combat skill (evasion, shield, parry, etc) is 4. Don't know enough about the other stuff to comment.Originally Posted by Epical
Combat skills and magic skills are capped to 8 except defensive skills.
Group 1 job specific are capped to 5...
Group 2 job specific are capped to 3..
I think that covers all categories...
Read the wiki, makes sense now. Posted edited accordingly.
Is there a thread or a link to all the abbreviations you guys use? earlier in the thread I noticed things like fSTR, and stuff like that. Not sure what all that means.
MNK group 2 you only really need 1 in formless strikes. SAM group 1 I think a lot of them merit Meditate recast. I'd honestly go with 8 h2h 4 GKT for combat but I love my MNK and doubt I'd ever get SAM gear to parse anywhere near my MNK. Magic skill I'd get 8 Enfeebling merits (+16 skill) for RDM, even if you don't play it much. That much skill in merits opens up so many other opportunities, like using errant instead of AF body for 10 MND, you really have to play around to find your comfort level there.
I'm kind of confused on some of the numbers you have here. I'm not saying I don't believe you, because what you presented here makes a lot of sense. My question though is, the [ 5+ (217 - 180)x6.5/270 = 5.8 TP per hand ] part. The 217 I get, that being delay per hand as you mentioned above, but where did you get the other numbers from? Is there a formula I missed earlier in this post?Originally Posted by VZX
