Yeah, DRK's and WAR's are so cheap now, LOL especially since Rajas is now amazing for two-handers and Chiv Chain can easily be used because two-handers are basically over-accurate.Originally Posted by Max™

(COR refused to give WAR roll, was JP, dont understand why, but yeah that's why DRK roll)
Are permabans forever or has there ever been a case where SE fucked up and was able to get it reversed? or able to convince them etc. friend got slapped says did nothing =[
What exactly does the updated Signet do, and how does rank affect its duration?
Givess accuracy bonus, evasion bonus, hHP recovery (very good btw) on anything EP-T and XP bonus on parties below 6 members.Originally Posted by Auspex
Also you can /heal and TP stays the same.
Say, Rank 1 = 1 hour of Signet (with all bonus) - I dont know exact durations.
Rank 2 = 2 hour (with all bonus)
and so on.
Damn that was fast, thanks!Originally Posted by Tajin
Does the Accuracy Bonus and Evasion Bonus work while solo?
Battle System Adjustments (03/05/2007)
In the upcoming version update, we plan to introduce two new dark knight spells, as well as implement changes to Signet that will improve party play for smaller groups.
Signet Bonuses
The adjustments made to improve player accuracy and attack versus monsters of a higher level, as well as the measures implemented to benefit full parties and prevent unfair pulling practices, have made it difficult for smaller groups to cooperate efficiently against weaker opponents.
In order to address this issue, the following bonuses will be added to the Signet effect in the upcoming version update:
- Increased Healing HP
- No TP loss while resting
- Bonus experience earned in smaller parties
- Increased defense and evasion against attacks from your auto-attack target
- Increased Healing HP
The initial value for Healing HP (based on the character's level), as well as the incremental jumps in Healing HP (based on the character's maximum HP), will be increased.
This change will improve Healing HP in a similar fashion to the bonus granted to Healing MP by the Clear Mind job trait.
- No TP loss while resting
While this bonus is in effect, TP will not be lost while resting.
This will allow players to rest fully for their next battle while still maintaining the store of TP they had built from their previous opponent.
- Bonus experience in small groups
The amount of experience earned while in smaller parties will be increased.
This bonus will be applied on the following scale:
http://www.playonline.com/pcd/topics...533/1533_2.jpg
*The experience earned for defeating special monsters will remain unaffected.
- Increased defense and evasion against attacks from your auto-attack target
Players will gain a bonus to their defense and evasion against their auto-attack target.
This bonus only applies to attacks from an opponent who you are auto-attacking with a drawn weapon. There is no effect against attacks from other sources, including monsters that unexpectedly join the fray.
*This bonus will only apply to monsters that check as "even match" or weaker to the player.
The bonuses described above will only take effect when a player has received Signet, and is within the usual Signet-specific areas.
These bonuses do not apply during Ballista, or other PvP events.

My understanding of them was it did something with either the level comparison (swung it a little in your favor) or just plain made it so third eye has less chance to drop when you anticipate or counter. At least that's what I thought they were said to do >.>Originally Posted by Epical
I thought they gave 3E the ability to counter, and since they were in the game long before Seigan was, how they worked with Seigan up. Increased counter rate/less chance to drop like you said?
Where's Ruke. ;;
I always heard they were broken and didnt do shit, but I'm not a sam.
Pre-Seigan... Correct me if I'm wrong, but they had to be kept equipped to even have a chance of countering, so assuming they do anything post-seigan, you probably wouldn't equip 'em over B/S Haidate just to have a slight chance to counter more.
Hidden effect: Inventory +1.
Thanks.
I have a question on Warrior Job Specific Merits.
I only use Great Axe on my War. With the most recent 2 Handed update I was wondering if it would be a good idea to max Berserk/Double Attack over Max Merited Bergressor.
I'm at the accuracy cap at all Merit Camps and don't really see any benefit to meriting Aggressor.
First set and use sushi on mamool. You could probably use meat with the first set and Pahl pants on colibri. I would say at least, definitely wear the Dusk Gloves, Swift Belt and Turban. Pahl Body or Rapparee dependent on mob evasion. Go for upgrading to +1 acc rings, Homam Body and skadi or Homam pants.Originally Posted by ryskar
Yeah, I went out, sold PCC, swapped Earthen Head for Ohat in various of my accuracy macros (8 Att vs 5 Acc, no Nhead yet T.T), swapped out Acc rings, etc. Don't even have issues hitting Kirin like this, last I checked he's pretty damn evasive, so yeah... don't worry about Aggressor merits if you're full timing Great Axe.Originally Posted by Quixon
I save Aggressor for when I know Nin or Thf mamools are coming in, or if a mob uses an Eva buff regularly.
As for War and Drk being sick, don't I know it, merited a lot since the 2h re-update with a Nin/Drk/War group that was basically a static, toss in 2 Brds and a happy Rdm, go run other parties out of MJSP or Nyzul, cackle maniacally as things explode.
Most fun rolls I've experienced was Chaos+Fighters with Drk+War in party, 800+ attack all the time, absolutely retarded DA rates, and March x2 ftw, we were 5 manning for a while since Rdm went AFK without warning midfight, and didn't respond, so we just booted and kept killing til another showed, didn't matter mobs since melted before hurting us.

the update before they implemented Seigan, several players noticed that Saotome Haidate were no longer 100% but now generated a (high) chance to counter. (I could not verify this myself, my samurai test subject had quit by this time.)
it is reasonable to assume that the improved chance to counter still functions regardless of whether you are under the effect of seigan or not - whether or not there is some additional bonus while under the effect of seigan (unlikely) is not known, and I'm not aware of anyone who's doing any testing on it.
as a poster said above, you'd be nuts to use these over b.haidate (or even myo+1 pants, honestly) for any length of time. they were useful when third eye was a 4 seconds out of one minute thing; now they're just inventory/town wear
So, before drowning myself in the search button, I remember a chart by aurik with the supposed location of Salvage pieces by zone.
I want to dig and compile the info about how to get each piece and a general "Salvage for Dummies" for friends.
Question is: Is said chart correct?, Is there a new chart somewhere?.
P.S. AFK BG-Wiki.
Edit: nvm, its all in the wiki (Salvage) front page ._.a
For a -dmg build on NIN when either kiting or doing things /DRK (if shadow are down) would you say Genbu's Kabuto or Arhats Jinpachi +1? I'm leaning towards Genbu's because the HP kinda sell its for me (as well as the free vs. price thing), especially since I don't want to gearswap into less HP then my normal /DRK haste gear and then have to swap back.
Also what rings would you suggest assuming no Bloodbead. Like out of Mermaid, Jelly, Bombqueen. for Magic stuff probably have a set of Merman's
