Both those numbers are with Soboro though. =( Oh well.Originally Posted by ringthree
It's all in you head, they do the same exact damage in all situations.
Regardless those last 3 WS have same base damage, Gekko pDIF average should be higher though, according to reports.
although, I also don't find gekko is as powerful as ppl say, my Kasha usually stronger than the other 3
every sam seems to find a particular one of the three the best. they are all more or less the same (unless SE nerfed them differently in the recent update).Originally Posted by Epical
your damage rolls make me sadwhat were they against? (last time I went out I was doing 600~ with gekko at 66)
(I'm still betting the random seeds include the first three letters of your character name)
Anyone know what tier Smilodon Mantle is? And by extension its level? Guild npcs are crap =/.
100lc friend said he thinks its T1. From the amount that have popped on AH it's probably right.Originally Posted by In Flames
I got a bit of a tricky question. I was wondering what was the total exp before the patch ages ago that lessened it? Was it 1.5 mil I can't remember
edit : I meant 1.5 =(
It certainly wasn't exclamation point dot 5 mil. I think it was more like 925350 exp.
I think it's 82 or 83, but I can't remember for sure.Originally Posted by In Flames
And the Guild NPCs aren't crap for finding synth levels. I hope you realize they list synths in level order. Meaning if you check the level of the synths directly above and below it, you'll find out what level the synth is within 1 level.
Those numbers came off Wootzshells in Mount Zhayolm, /WAR, with Soboro. I guess if I went /THF on Colibri/Date Erucas with Zanbato I could pop out 600s too. =(Originally Posted by Amele
Last time you were out did that happen to be pre-post-pre-pre-post-post-pre 2h nerf?
Orly? Didn't know that, thanks :D.Originally Posted by Tomiko

was erucas in mount Z, near the SE corner of the island, sam/war soboro, with a bard but the bard was singing acc and march, not attack.
most hits were 550-650 and peak was 909 on a double attack, I wasn't using 'zerk or hasso because of ninja "tank".
which is why your number make me sad - I haven't had a chance to go out post-nerf but I would assume I'll make numbers similar to yours.
Just loaded FFXI on my new desktop and I'm having an odd problem....When I went to change the controls for targeting (I'm used to compact, this is full) I couldnt get the left/right target select to work. At first, I thought it was just a control problem but then I figured out that I can't target anything. Not only can I not target anything, no NPCs are showing up for me to target. I was at Tele-dem when I logged in so I thought i could test on the tele-point but I can't even select it. Also, I did get a slight glimpse at another PC as he teleported away. I can /c <player name> just fine and see their gear, but I didn't test /ta <player name>. Any ideas?
Also, my buttons are all screwed up for some reason. They're clearish when they shouldn't be. I believe I had this same problem on my laptop but can't remember what I did.

This is after being logged in for a while (no chocobo) so it's not because of lag.
Specs, not sure what would be needed so some copypasta from dell.

What's calculated first, haste, or dual weild/delay reduction?
presumably delay reduction, but It shouldn't matter which in terms of determining final delay.Originally Posted by Starblaster
Wow, if that's what SAMs were like after the 2h buff (but before nerf), then damn that's pretty broken lol. But yeah, those are unfortunately the numbers now. =(Originally Posted by Amele
yeah it was pretty broken, haha. (to be fair, I was only about 6% of the total party damage ahead of the war/nin 2x axe - although that was something like 15% more personal damage)
Level 1 Paralyze II.... is this spell basically the same as a Paralyze in effect, unless it is upgraded to level 2 or 3? Just wondering if anybody else has noticed that it isn't really that hot.
In terms of Para II, I seem to remember reading something along the lines of "A level 1 Paralyze II will be the same as a perfectly struck Paralyze I." I can't recall if that was in the update notes or a dev interview, I'm sorry for the ambiguity, but that statement sticks out very clearly in my mind. I'll see if I can't find where I read that.
