There aren't many situations where Sword Strap won't be detrimental to your Tp building time, if you lack Rajas, and have certain delay weapons, then it gives a 3% DoT improvement, and nothing during WS.

Using Sword Strap and Store Tp gear is Similar to TPing in Rutters and a Swift belt, you're spending two gear slots to get less of a gain than you'd get from either one, and nullifying portions of both slots. It just makes me irrationally angry, I can't help it.
At this point you are definitely being irrational. ^.^/

Store TP is not like haste. It only matters if you can reduce the number of swings to get to 100TP. If the Sword Strap doesn't do that, then it is the best grip. If it does reduce number of swings to 100TP, then it is the worst.

No, I was working on the parameters that you gave. You said you were looking at switching your Coronal for an O-hat because you were concerned about accuracy, and I was saying there are better switches that you can make given your gear.

The most important thing I said was that you need to judge your accuracy against what you are fighting. There really is no universal answer to the question you are asking. Though it does look like with your skill level and accuracy that you should generally be ok, but there are myriad of factors to consider, the most important of which is what food you are using.

Ok, I'm fighting against campaign mobs... most often as part of the Jugner Permanent Defense Force™ against orcs and the occasional gnole, and I'm eating Coeurl Sub for attack

edit: My accuracy against these mobs seems to be pretty high even without sushi, I hardly ever miss.

Bored and got into a pick up merit party earlier and it had some warriors in it! One was using NQ unicorn other NQ dusk feet. Which got me to think which is better in EXP parties? Movement from monster to monster is short (for the most part), unicorn doesn't always work, and you gain 4 ATK for 1 haste loss with NQ dusk.

Sooooo................ Dusk Ledelsens vs Unicorn Leggings go!

Ignore HQ, because HQ dusk blows everything away and HQ unicorn is pretty lol to try to find/get (IMO).

    Y/G/K = 1.5625/1.875/2.50 @100,200,300 TP right?

Dunno if this asked before, how much better would hagun be really @100-150tp WS's? I have Hagun/Onimaru now. Just wondering. If someone could example at say merit mob or such would be great. Mostly want to know if its worth it to still use Hagun always or if the difference is so small at 100-150tp that it does not matter.. Thanks!

Campaign mobs have like no Evasion, if that is your sole purpose for the Vorpal Blade gear then just stack all the STR you can. My 61THF and 68NIN have no problems hitting or getting full returns on WSs with minimal Acc.

For any real mobs you will want to add more Acc but only to a point. It's really about testing out gear and seeing what you feel best with after watching TP returns and seeing numbers. Missing a hit on Vorpal(or any Multi-hit WS) is worse then adding a bit of STR. First and foremost you want to be able to consistently hit all hits and then you want add STR/DEX. DEX helps Critical WSs out alot imo, since it adds Crit potential and Acc. Personally I would prolly go Coronal/PCC on higher mobs, since the 4STR bonus is pretty nice compared to the 5Acc from Ohat. I don't use Chiv Chain for any Multi-Hit WSs though.

It pbviously depends on how good your Mages are and how much damage you are taking. If you are almost always White then Unicorn>Dusk. If you are taking tons of damage then Dusk will prolly win out. I personally hate the movement down, especially stacked with Dusk Gloves so I use Unicorn, had Dusk Feet for a bit but you just run so damn slow.. Had to switch out gear just to run to the next mob.

Alot of people use Amir Boots now instead, although I don't feel like spending 20k AS on those.

I don't currently have a PCC, but I can buy one, or try to win one from the BC40. And I had a sneaking suspicion that campaign mobs have very little evasion, but now I know for sure.. lol

Guess I'll go tweak it around for merit mobs and see just how much acc I'll need.

    where did you get those numbers? o.o;

if those numbers are right, hagun should be better than onimaru at 100TP for most attack/str ranges.

I would need to know specific setups to get more exact than that. silly SE; they pushed the gap wider again.

Sword strap does nothing during WS, it's a blank slot every time you WS, so for that alone it isn't the best, even if it doesn't add a hit to 100, it doesn't help when you get there.

Over time, Pole Strap can give a similar reduction in time to 100% Tp, and boost the damage of your weaponskills to boot.

For comparison, an Axe/Axe War, or a Thf/Nin, or a Nin/War, using Suppa improves their swing speed quite a bit, in most cases adds a hit to 100% but it isn't as big of a deal. If they aren't using Swords though, they don't leave it on during WS. You swap in a Triumph, or Merman's, or Assault, or something.

To a point, but when you add them into a more or less complete gear set, the difference between them shows a bit more.

Typical AH 2her with a random Grip isn't going to notice a huge difference between most of them. Top end 2her with little room to improve gearwise, gaining a free slot to improve your gear set is always welcome.

Those are the numbers studio gobli has. If Hagun is still better guess I'll keep using it anyway. Just was wondering because if it was really small difference @100-150tp.. might just use Oni for some more ATT/ACC on reg. hits.

If you lack Byakko's, Hecatomb, and/or Barbarosa's Zerahs, would Dusk Trousers be the best WS piece for War and Nin?

I'd think Warrior's Cuisses trump Dusk for WAR, don't know about NIN.

Is it better to sacrifice O.kote/Pallas or Fuma Sune-ate to maintain 6hit (obviously placing a hachiman piece in either slot)? Is 6hit worth it?

    6 hit is worth it.

sacrifice the dusk gloves on TP (fuck okotes and pallas on TP when there's haste in the slot) and that lets you wear Okotes or pallas on weaponskill while maintaining six hit setup.

if you don't have the space in inventory/macros for the extra gear swap, hachi feet+dusk hands is generally a better overall stat boost than hachi hands+fuma; but it means not swapping. (hachi feet+dusk hands is generally cheaper than hachi hands+fuma+alky's too, for that matter.)

    Re: Random Question Thread

I've found personally the use of dusk hands and hachiman feet(leaving feet on during ws to maintain 6 hit) to be a great blend of haste, some attack(rather than hachiman hands' stupid latent), and allows me to use my alkys for ws and maintain a 6hit setup(full store tp merits, rajas and brutal being my other sources). while in some exp situations with poor healers or cranky seigan, you won't be wsing EVERY 100tp, a 6 hit setup is really phenominal and well worth it.

note: this is with a 450 delay gkt(hagun/soboro/onimaru in my case) and not using sword strap. with a lower delay gkt(like relic), i think you have to use hachiman hands to get a 6 hit, but can still ws in alkys(at least that's what i gleaned from rukenshin's lj).
