Are there any requirements for uncapped Ouryu other than being able to access the area? Only found one site with that info, and I don't trust it.

Not really sure where to put this, and I didn't want to make a new thread for it.
Is that Whitegate -> Nash ship glitch (5 second boat ride) still not fixed? Just today my LS was taking the boat for Einherjar and 3 of us were sent directly to Nash while the rest stayed on the boat.
Funny you mention that. It seems to have been fixed with that patch a while back (I ride the boat to Nashmau once or twice a week, myself), then last night as I was running from port bastok mog to whitegate taru, the airship came through the drawbridge like it was doing a while back around the same time. I figured it might have just been coincidental timing for my zoning or something, but then when I got on the boat to Nashmau I got the insta-ride as well, so whatever problem they had before, they only corrected it temporarily apparently.Originally Posted by Lujei
Also, back when senji was introduced, Fudo cost a hefty chunk of change. Probably tipped the balance a bit.Originally Posted by malak

Just to chime in a little bit about nin/mage. Nin/rdm is more beneficial 40~55 (The levels where I'd say nin/rdm is most viable) than /blm. Being /blm and /rdm you will have the same amount of magic attack bonus until 60, but with /rdm you will have fast cast which is awesome. With haste its pretty easy to just keep the wheel going instead of waiting for the recasts to cool down.Originally Posted by fobber
Thanks, good enough for me if true. I was mainly worried about needing CoP complete, and with SE being SE, I pretty much expected that, but from the looks of it, it's not needed. :3Originally Posted by Ashira
That is definitely not the case, I did both Ouryu and Bahamut (well, maybe not Bahamut, but it was a while after I joined TK before I finally got sea access, first, and then got my Tamas) before having CoP fully completed the first couple times. I remember having to do Baha1 just before to get people access into the Baha2 fight, as well.Originally Posted by Rena
Where can I solo at lv28 rdm?
Guess I'll just have to parse both setups and see for myself.Originally Posted by Aireiya
Best 2 rings for PLD? Right now I'm using BQ and Hercules, gonna pick Sattva when the time comes. (i'm Taru btw)![]()

BQ and BB for HP, Defender and Sattva for all-around tanking, Herc&Sattva IMO if you don't have DRing (and everyone will have a different opinion). Elemental resist rings if you have a set, Merman's if you're going for mdb/%, Shadow if you're in either of those situations and own one. Jelly's good if you're straight-tanking something that doesn't have any magical attacks. The list keeps going...
I'm a sage sundi when It comes to NIN. lvling it, and got a question on gear type: Wonder mitts and wonder clomps... should I use them or use the Royal squire gloves and fed.kyahan? or SIS? any advice(especially from taru nins) would be appreciated :bagel:

Other than whitebox and looks, I don't see why Gallant would be better.
I would take 1 extra enmity over the other stats I'm losing from wearing Adaman instead of HQ Gallant, especially while /NIN.

Shadow/Defending and macro swap Herc/Sattva for spells/ja! I personally use Herc/BQR because I have Rajas and neither of those other 2. Any combo of Bloodbead, BQR, Herc, Mermaid are fine really if you don't have the "elite" rings. Defending and Shadow are by far the best and Sattva is a solid ring if you don't need the other CoP rings.
Above, Gallant looks better, therefore I would use it! The stats aren't that different. Sure Adaman is better but I like to look good too. Not a big deal.
It's a better-balanced piece, making it more worthwhile for full-time usage. Even /NIN, you still want to have a good amount of HP, and you're not going to notice a 1 enmity difference in any situation.Originally Posted by Xrave

I'm an Elvaan with 8 HP merits, 20 more HP isn't going to make a difference on anything that can already 1-shot me. A difference of 3 def and 2 vit not going to do anything. 8 Divine Magic? Unless I'm counting small franctions of a second difference on Flash duration or trying for new damage records on Holy or Banish II...it's not going to make a difference.Originally Posted by Ferien
1 enmity? More beneficial then any of those stats. 4 MND? That s 1 or 2 more HP per Cure III (I think). Although 8 MP probably won't matter much, it'd be more beneficial on my PLD than 20 HP due to my HP/MP pools as an elvaan.
Other than looks, I really don't see any reason at all to use Gallant +1.
Similar(ish) question:
Homam pants vs. Adaman pants for /war. Homam gives +26 hp/mp, 3% haste, fast cast bonus. Adaman gives +6 def, +3 vit and +3 enmity. For /nin, I'm planning to wear the Homam. On /war, though, I'm not so sure.
On the other hand, with /war I have more hate tools anyhow, so maybe I don't need that +3 enmity as much anyway? My gut tells me to just go with Homam full time, but I'm not sure. PLD is 69 so I haven't been able to test any of my gear assumptions. {Help me out!}
