I thought about putting this in the crafting forum but they tend to eat people alive for noobish questions. I've looked up the information and all that, done my research, and I'm 99% sure that my understanding is correct. But that 1% uncertainty is bugging me and I don't want to waste my gil.

Haubergeon - Smithing 69 and Cloth 38. Right now I'm at Tier 1 with Smithing 75 + 2 + 3 with advanced support, and Cloth 54 + 1. Its my understanding that skilling up my either Smithing or Cloth will have no affect on my HQ rate because of the fact that it will still be stuck at Tier 1.

So I guess my question is, do I need to skill up moar, or can I leave it where it is? I don't want to take HQ rates for

wiki reports it to drop from 3 types of fomor, mystery says it's a WAR only drop. still I am like 0/30 (and i mean 30 fomor warriors) on it, about 24h i'm struck in the damn place so I'm starting to wonder if I'm missing something (quest is activated) or if it's just a hell of a idiot droprate just like the rest of CoP shit.

The drop rate suuuuuuuuuuuuucks. I think that when I got mine if was not off of a WAR, possibly a MNK. I killed those asshole fomors for quite a while with TH1, then later with TH4 and it still sucked ass. Horrible drop rates for little reward- it is quintessentially CoP.

Again, confirmed that the drop rate does, in fact, suck. I (and everyone I know who got this quest) got the drop off of Fomor WAR. I don't know anyone who got it off a different Fomor, although there are rumors (Septimus, although he doesn't seem positive).

For my RDM, I have been very slack when it came to my earrings. To understand how slack, I'm still wearing the same earrings as I did at level 60 [Phantom's and Antivenom]

I do not own a Loquacious (And I might not in the future, not sure) or a Magenetic Earring. I just finished DM2, and was thinking of either Magnetic or Ethereal [I play DRG and RDM equally as much]. Let's say I do not pick Magnetic Earring, what should I choose to replace my Antivenom earring when I spend up that 15 mp?

These slots are the only ones that baffle me, because I don't see them AS important as the others that I've upgraded, and there doesn't appear to be many choices for me.

I have Loq, Phantom (never did bother with a +1, as I always had plans to replace it and that just hasn't happened yet), Moldavite, Communion, Geist (placeholder until I finally get Ryakho's ), Relaxing, and Antivenom. I swap in and out in macros as appropriate per spell.

For the Nigh earring, it depends what you will do with it; though if you solo at all on DRG with a mage sub, and perhaps plan to tank whatsoever as RDM, Ethereal could be a good choice.

Wizard's earring is a pretty nice nuking earring along side moldy or novio for rdm/blm as well. Usually pretty cheap as well.

Does slow have increasing returns, as in, the more a mob is slowed, it will attack exponentially slower?

No, diminishing returns. However, I think particluar NMs (ie Zipacna, Hydra) have natural haste, so slow & elegy appear to have enhanced potency.

I'm quite sure that it does not, although I could be wrong. I believe it only effects resist rate.

Earth shot does not enhance Carnage elegy or Slow II, only Slow level 1. I don't know about Battlefield.

Err no, edit, misread. It's best to think of slow in reverse haste terms. So much slow will reduce one attack round, more potency will take another, but it gets harder to go beyond that as potency from each additional MND decreases as you near the cap.

A lot of r acc gear swap in <<; outside of that I can't think of anything else. Eat food with base r acc? but generally those foods don't improve acc either so that's a dud for a DRK imo. The improvement with Sole Sushi isn't gonna be noticeably better range wise till you have a base acc of about 90~.

With an E rating it's really difficult to get that high hit rate, as a COR I know anything less is pretty bad hit rate.

I'm specifically interested in about how much +acc one needs to approach 90% accuracy on Nyzul Mamools (assuming one gets madrigal for Lurkers) and G. Dose Chr affect pet damage? I have read somewhere that it dose but not sure off hand. I am a pup and staticing with a drg to 75 and more so curious about this when we kite kirin since pet dmg on him can add up.

2nd question is there my merits come from war and rdm pretty much only i have 8 sword merits 4 gaxe 4 h2h. Any reason to lv bring h2h up to 8 or about all endgame events will I be subbing whm while my pet dose everything? :elmer:

Yes you can. I skilled my bf's automaton magic skills as MNK/PUP in Buburimu, and I know he skilled the ranged skill in the Woodlands, also /PUP.
