Its not the Def is Broke its just that HNM have a F' ton of Base Damage that you cant do a Damn thing about but Blink it

Kind of a continuation of that: can Absorb spells get partial resists? If so, does it affect the XXX down effect and/or the boost recieved by the DRK? If the DRK cancels the XXX boost manually, does it affect the XXX down on the target?

As far as the cancelling part, I've never tried, but I can test later and see, though I doubt it would cancel the xxx-down on the mob.

As far as a resist goes, I've noticed a consistent amount absorbed, though on a resisted cast, the mob's effect wears off well before mine, so they suffered a lesser stat-down penalty than the stat-boost I got.

The absorb spells seem to inflict two different and independant stats, you get a buff and the mob gets a debuff. I have noticed at Proto-Ultima that sometimes the debuff will wear off long before the buff does due to a partial resist. The buff wears off like normal even after it falls off of the mob, there is no reason to suspect that it would work differently if yo click off your buff.

I'm getting paranoid again, I already got 8k+ exp from Lower Delkfutt's tower trying to get Blitzstrahl killing all chaos idol all the time. But I still haven't got it. My blu magic skill was 105 during 34, can I even learn blizstrahl there?

I'm not a hardcore BLU but I know you can learn the move off of Too Weaks and such.

Does fast cast work with bard songs? I see tons of bards wearing the gear, but a bard in my linkshell said it doesnt work for songs *shrug*

general rule to learn you need to be within 30 skill points of the level you you'd be (44 in this case) if your 34 your kinda low, i learned the spell there myself it's a real bitch, try to learn spells within a 5 level gap even early on works better

Emphasis on "personally witnessed" because I don't care what somepage says, or the wiki because a lot of the info there is just taken from somepage until someone else comes along and corrects it.

Rostrum Pumps, /RDM, and Loquacious Earring all have a noticable effect on song casting times. Not as much as gear like Gomlek/Manteel and Minstrel's Ring, but it's definitely there.

What's the macro command for targetting an NPC thats closest to you, I forget, if at all possible.

/targetnpc, but you have to be looking at it.

F8 is also basically a /targetnpc in a button, but has a predisposition to target enemy mobs over friendly NPCs.

I heard that Metal Chip Limbus have a very high drop rate on items? Is this true? Let's say I got fed up trying to get my BLM Temenos item... would it be a good idea to try that place out if we got a free chip?
