It is like 4/32, 6/32 and 15/32 of your current HP, at the three different TP levels.

I guess this thread is too general to act as a poll on the fTP topic, so I'll just post how it actually works (will be adding that info to the wiki shortly).

fTP varies a long a straight line from 100% to 200%, and also along a straight line from 200% to 300%. In most WS you can simplify that as a straight line from 100% to 300%, but for a fair number of WS, the slope changes as TP crosses the 200% point.

    Concrete examples:

    Shark Bite

    fTP 2.00 at 100%, 2.50 at 200%, 3.00 at 300%

The slope doesn't change because the variation between 100-200 is the same as between 200-300

    At 110%, fTP is 2.05. At 150% fTP is 2.25. 250%, 2.75. Each 1% increases fTP by 0.005

    Calamity

    fTP 1.00 at 100%, 1.50 at 200%, 4.00 at 300%

The slope changes drastically at 200%

    At 110%, fTP is 1.05. At 150%, 1.25. 250%, 2.75. From 100 to 200, each % increases fTP by 0.005, while from 200 to 300 each % increases fTP by 0.025

This type of linear calculation also applies to Spirits Within, each % from 100 to 200 increases the HP ratio by a tiny bit, while each % from 200 to 300 increases it by a much larger amount. It would be hard to actually test, but this most likely means WS where TP affects accuracy or crit % work the same way.

Final note, this behavior should actually be obvious to anybody that uses a Damage modified by TP WS with any frequency, I'm just posting this since apparently according to wiki it was "unknown".

    edit: added last note

Nooblet Questions in regards to BLU.

    1. How important is Suppa for BLU?
    2. From what I understand, /thf seems to be the better choice for end game situations, and /nin is only for meripo? Yes/No?
    3. Those multihits magics (Disseverment, etc) is affected by ACC or BLU magic?

    PS: I have bushi, coz my main is SAM^^;

1 - Depends if you will have any sword merits or not, i'd say more important if you don't have sword merits. No matter what you do, all your physical spells are going to be cast with a Sword (or Club >_>) in main hand, so every bit of +skill is very nice, and it helps out or weaker Sword DoT.

2 - /THF for most endgame situations probably, but /WHM and /RDM and /NIN have there benefits too. Running in and Frightful Roar'ing a bunch of slept Dynamis mobs can be helpful, or small manning somewhere like Sandy, Sheep Song and yawn have their places. /NIN basically anywhere you're going to be taking enough damage that Zephyr Mantle might have a hard to keeping up. XP: I like /THF for merit parties. Tank vokes/flashes -> TA <spell of your choice) -> Melee a bit, get behind mob, (CA)SA Vertical Cleave is very nice, and you tend to not draw hate. Works very nice on Birds, popping 600+ TA Disseverment's at the start. You can expect a SA Vertical Cleave to do like 700-800, and CASA with 0 TP around 1k~1.1k, CASA with 100% TP around 1.3-1.5k (depending on your gear and merits and food, of course)

3 - Their accuracy is affected by your main hand weapon's accuracy. Their attack is, in part, affected by your Blue Magic Skill in some regard, as far as I know: Higher Blue Magic Skill = Higher damage on the physical spells (if they hit, of course) How much extra, I can't say. There was a small debate in the BLU thread a while back supposing that Blue Magic Skill had at least a small effect on the accuracy of your Physical Blue Magic, but I believe concluded that if it did, it was very small. Cap your Blue Magic Skill, wear your AF Body on spells, and you should be "capped" in the attack you can get from Blue Magic Skill, barring merits. Rest of it is good old Acc/STR/DEX and such.

Hope this helps, i'm like, 99% certain about it >_>

I wouldn't want to be playing blu without it, it's better for blu than it is war or nin, since it also adds 4.5ish acc (which also applies to physical magic) and 5 atk, in addition to the enhances dual-wield effect.

    2. From what I understand, /thf seems to be the better choice for end game situations, and /nin is only for meripo? Yes/No?
It depends what you do with blu. For salvage, limbus, assault, nyzul isle, solo/duo, missions, etc. /nin is going to get more mileage. For me it's the other way around, and I "only" use /thf for HNM/gods/etc. really.

    3. Those multihits magics (Disseverment, etc) is affected by ACC or BLU magic?
Accuracy effects the accuracy of the spell. Blue magic skill increases the damage, and has little to no affect on the accuracy of physical spells.

From what you two implying, Suppa also affects physical spells? If so, wouldn't it be wiser if you were to cast the spells with let's say 2 Triumph earrings instead? (Assuming you have lvl 8 sword merits and have enough ACC)

It affects the accuracy of your Physical spells only (Unless say it was a spelled modified by AGI >_>). Triumph Earrings are better *IF* you are satisfied with your acc, which depending on mob/food/BRD you may not be. When you're talking /THF, obviously acc doesn't matter on Sneak Attack, put on the Triumph Earrings if you've got the gil.

For multi-hits no way, it works the same way a 3-5 hit weaponskill works. Would you rather rampage in a sniper or +2 str ring as a war? That should answer your question. For multihits I use suppa + minuet, for SATA minuet + heims, don't feel like spending 1.5m for 2 str I would only use for SATA at the moment.

You can learn blue magic from any level mob, regardless of your level; what really matters is your blue magic skill in relation to what level the spell you're trying to learn is. Cocoon is a level 8 spell, or something like that, don't feel like looking it up, so you'd be fine there.

    Re: Random Question Thread

Whenever I try to add somebody to my friend list, I keep getting "Failed to send (19).". The person I'm adding doesn't have too many people on his friend list, and I'm not at the maximum number either. To be safe, I deleted a bunch of people that had quit from my friend list and tried again, with no luck. I even tried to add random people in my LS to my friend list, but I kept getting the same error message. Any ideas on what's going on?

I was also wondering about kick attack rate. I was always under the impression that with kick attack II, the rate was 10%, merits were 1% each, and kick attack gear added 1% per point (melee hose having +5 kick attack, so +5%). Then somebody showed me genome's LJ entry about kick attack gear, and he was saying a base kick attack rate of 20%, and kick attack gear doesn't really do much of anything.

Level 51 kicks is 10%, Level 71(72?) kicks is 15%, each merit is 1%, AF2 legs add 5%. Don't listen to Genome.

Is there a cap on Enmity +? I have +40 (counting merits) in my macro swap. I managed to pick up a Naruko Earring today (1/5), and someone mentioned there is probably a cap. If so, what would it be?
