Does ix'drg depop?

I've never actually seen him depop, but I'm sure that he does; just like the other Ix'Aerns in sea.

First time we popped it, back when we were still looking for the "missing" NM in sea, we had it depop on us before we engage, Pretty sure it can depop, and it seemed faster than the usual "3minutes at homepoint". Never let it depop since then.

Ix'DRG depops after 2 minutes of standing idle at it's spawn point. But it seems that if he does depop he will repop very quickly after killing more aerns.

Yes, for example as a level 73 BLM soloing King Apkallu* some of them check as IT and some of them check as VT, also they give different experience points when killed. Also the IT ones resist the nukes/enfeebles (obviously) more.

Not sure about that. I remember spending another 3hours to repop it that one time. Maybe you just got lucky and repopped it twice in a row.

can enchantments be dispelled by dispel, dispelling wind, etc?

when you unequip an enchantment item like high breath mantle, does it get dispelled? could've swore this happened to me :\

Not sure if it still works, but you used to be able to slow jailer of fortitude down with cure 1. Cure 1 him and he cure 1's the tank he's chasing lol.... havent played a caster against him in ages. Worked last year for sure though.

Ix'DRG is pretty random anyways, so yeah, we were probably pretty lucky. I've seen it pop twice in an hour, and then other times not for a few hours. But i'm pretty sure on the two minute depop.

Is it 2 minutes for every NM? I've been told 3 minutes last time, and assumed it was the same for everything.

I know we killed Ix'Drg once back to back. Popped first room, we killed, and it repopped immediatly. No idea if there is any meaning to that other than luck, but I'm kinda under the impression Ix'drg was similar to Ix'Drk, with the exception of the invisible "???". Maybe that could explain why it was popped twice back to back by our group.

has anyone ever done any conclusive tests of diabolos's pole vs pluto's staff in dynamis? my experience says to stick with pluto, but i'm curious if someone's got some hard evidence one way or the other.

There is a thread about it somewhere here on BG. End results seemed to be diablos got better peak numbers but pluto's was more consistent.

Are you only using bio? I'm assuming you are either blm or rdm.

Personally I have not tried to solo drg yet. And it's probably not very likely if gilsellers will just steal it if i zone.

Try using more than just one DoT, and don't use them at the same time. For example, since you are DoT-zoning i imagine, bio on the first zone, and poison on the second. You will never get to see them wear off of the mob i am guessing, so you have to absolutely make sure you know one will be up all the time. Having blm main or /blm would help for more options maybe?

Just play with it until you get a groove down with your spells and timing. Nuking it would help also probably if you can spare the MP.

Yes, and yes, on both counts. First time I used a HB mantle, I uneuipped it, and poof went the enchantment. I've also had Seiryu dispel me down to no buffs at all, including the HB mantle enchantment, and Diabolos Prime dispel my enchantment.

I've probably already asked this, but is there any situation where Yigit Hands would be better to use than Zenith on BLM? Aside from using tier 1 on lv 0 mobs with genie weskit instead of morrigan's robe.

I think one person proved in like 10% of situations it does 1dmg more than nq zenith, i'll try and find the post.

No data to back it up, but I personally had more luck with tissue from aerns.

Been using Heca body, Thunder Ring and Love Torque lately. If you're using Shark Bite, Dragon body would probably be preferable over heca though.

It's still a work in progress though, I'd hoped bomblet would give me enough acc to get consistent tp returns, but it's still eh. Considering Potent Belt now, ought to get one for my WAR and NIN anyway.
