Did they ninja nerf the yagudo behind the passworded hole to not drop coffer keys? I got a lot of keys back there before but lately I've spent a combined total of 8hrs over 2 days with TH4 and no keys - I think I've gotten 7k exp now at 30-40 a mob.. thanks stupid SE

The Yagudo below the trapdoor in the area of the Yagudo High Priest have never dropped coffer keys, similar to the Quadav in Qulun Dome and Orcs in Monastic Cavern near the Orcish Overlord.

They have, and I swear I've seen it, I got my coffer keys for multiple AF there... Just that the drop rate was horrid - and since I've gone 3hrs without seeing a key in a pickup key pt in oz on the torch floor, I assumed it was the same.

In several years of off-and-on Raise II/Tornado farming and key hunting for my own jobs, I have never, ever, seen a Oztroja Coffer Key drop from those Yagudo.

I believe you are wasting your time there, but I would be interested to know if you eventually get one, as that would be some really awful luck on my part, I suppose.

I spent a good 4 hours there about 2 weeks ago looking for a coffer key with the top floors being hunted by about 12 other people.

2 x th4 and nothing. I warped out and came back to the torches, killed 2 mobs and got a coffer key =\

I've probably already asked this, but is there any situation where Yigit Hands would be better to use than Zenith on BLM? Aside from using tier 1 on lv 0 mobs with genie weskit instead of morrigan's robe.

especially for breaking the last tier on ele enfeebs. iirc, it's 150 int to break the final tier, which can be a pain in the ass lacking some specific gear items if memory serves. (i actually tabulated it once. mistiltienn(or mythic+1)/astral aspis/morrigan's pants and a few others make it pretty easy to break, but for more pedestrian gear it can get very irritating.) on the other hand, unless it's the make or break point for that cap, you're probably better off going with the af(+1) hands for the increased ele magic to make sure you don't get a partial resist, since some mobs can get ornery about it landing if you're having a bad day.

No data to back it up, but I personally had more luck with tissue from aerns.

I've gotten pretty good luck from the VT+ Aerns and the VT Euvhis. I get the occasional one from the sharks outside the teleport crags but those feel like they have a worse drop rate. Either way farming for tissues sucks.

Well, thanks for the input. I went back later to the torch level, and it took over 2hrs to get a key with TH4 (and then the very next mob dropped another key), so I'll just bank it on my luck being terrible.

This question came up around page 9 of this thread, and I found a situation damage-wise that wasn't completely unreasonable (fighting something with roughly the same INT as you have, and you have 60 MAB from gear and merits, casting blizzard 4) but the difference wasn't substantial, it was more just to show it could happen. It definitely won't occur as often as 5 INT from AF1+1 head beating yigit head MAB+2, but it is more likely than the army of bubbly bernies scenario.

If you're just asking "what should I use" then just use Zenith for nukes (I do, even though I have both) because it's going to be the best damage the vast majority of the time and it's got 50 MP to boot. If you're bringing yigit along for full-set hMP anyway, then using them to break debuff tiers as someone already said is also good, too.

I was always under the impression that you can double attack on one fist only, but i swear I have done 4 attacks per round, it might be lag causing attack rounds to overlap, but it didn't seem so.

The reason I ask is I'm curious about the method used for soloing him; I haven't tried anything less than a duo because, when I solo, I try to keep him busy so he doesn't depop. However, bio usually wears and he regens solo

Are you only using bio? I'm assuming you are either blm or rdm.

Personally I have not tried to solo drg yet. And it's probably not very likely if gilsellers will just steal it if i zone.

Try using more than just one DoT, and don't use them at the same time. For example, since you are DoT-zoning i imagine, bio on the first zone, and poison on the second. You will never get to see them wear off of the mob i am guessing, so you have to absolutely make sure you know one will be up all the time. Having blm main or /blm would help for more options maybe?

Just play with it until you get a groove down with your spells and timing. Nuking it would help also probably if you can spare the MP.

I had to hold an Ix'drg for a bit solo; I'd Bio II it from max distance, run to the portal and then come back and wait a minute for Bio to wear before reapplying. But after casting Bio, it can do Depuration (if your lucky it will do Crystaline Cocoon instead) and erase the Bio effect while you're trying to zone, so by the time you get back, he's already regained a nice chunk of HP.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Maybe I'm letting him get to close, causing him to perform a TP Move?

That bit looks like the dialog for the Olduum ring quest bit at the Leypoint, when whatever the hell that guy gives you (I forgot by now) lightning bolts all over your face, and yey ring.

Didn't think of that. I doubt getting too close is causing him to use it, because they can use depuration from any distance since it's a self-buff kind of TP move.

If you're using Bio, then I guess there's nothing you can do about him using TP, since Bio will give him TP. Usually to prevent something from using any TP you'd have to not feed it any - meaning, you can't use bio anymore.

If you can't use Bio anymore though, would just poison cut it? D:

Poison is more damage than bio, why wouldn't you use it.

You'd have been using it with bio to begin with, if you take away bio that's only one DoT you have. Would that cut it when you have to keep zoning, was the question.

Good luck landing poison every time on blm. Best way would be to count tp and do bio x2 (can uses bio 1) whenever it uses the move.

Fighting Cactrot, I've been casting Dia2 while wearing Pluto to get 0 damage on the first hit, as I've heard it doesn't feed TP.
So I stack Poison2 and Dia2. If someone's done some BST tests that disproves this, lemme know, otherwise that's what I'd suggest to avoid giving the Aern TP.
