There's better slots to stack -emnity in than body, without sacrificing the damage and accuracy advantages of a weskit, imo.

My standard HNM nuking setup, normal stuff like ground kings, dynamis, stuff that doesn't resist all that much:

    main HQ staff
    ammo "Phtm. Tathlum"
    head "Mahatma Hat"
    neck "Elemental Torque"
    ear1 "Novio Earring"
    ear2 "Moldavite Earring"
    body "Genie Weskit"
    hands "Wzd. Gloves +1"
    ring1 "Tamas Ring"
    ring2 "Snow Ring"
    back "Prism Cape"
    waist "Penitent's Rope"
    legs "Mahatma Slops"
    feet "Yigit Crackows"

Gives me a total of emnity-22, while retaining a sufficient amount of elemental. Really, if you need more than that for easy stuff, get better tanks. I'd rather hold myself back on nuking so much, than nuke more often for less damage and less emnity. Simply more efficient.

Larger scale HNMs like wyrms, the thing is, we usually have BLMs on a strict nuke, drop, shutdown rotation, so ironically it is when I care the least about stacking -emnity. Almost full elemental for nuking:

    main HQ staff
    ammo "Phtm. Tathlum"
    head "Sorcerer's Petasos"
    neck "Elemental Torque"
    ear1 "Novio Earring"
    ear2 "Moldavite Earring"
    body "Genie Weskit"
    hands "Wzd. Gloves +1"
    ring1 "Tamas Ring"
    ring2 "Sorcerer's Ring"
    back "Merciful Cape"
    waist "Penitent's Rope"
    legs "Mahatma Slops"
    feet "Nashira Crackows"

The only case where I would feel the need to seriously stack on -emnity would be small manning a HNM. Where reseting hate just isn't an option. Even in that case, there are less detrimental slots than body to sacrifice.

    ammo "Hedgehog Bomb"
    ring2 "Trooper's Ring"
    back "Errant Cape"
    feet "Sorcerer's Sabots"

really, nuking in houpilanghgeigslierbg is either for 2004, or for silly JPs. No thanks.

It's not serious -enmity, it's a balance like everything else with the job. If your goal is to do as much damage over the course of the fight without pulling hate (which is typically the goal for BLM in an HNM situation), then there are a number of things you have to consider. I'm not making a universal assertion like errant body > weskit for all situations, just that if you have sufficient versatility with respect to important stat bonuses in most of your slots (which most BLMs at this level do), then errant body becomes a viable option in certain situations, and it's not really fair to say anyone who uses it is "lol".

Weapon rank related to fSTR cap, which related to STR-VIT difference. Attack cap is a different story.

And to answer the question : capping fSTR is nearly impossible with all STR gear and food you can get, even in merit PT situation. Unless, you demand your BRD to sing STR etude.
So, in other words, the loss of 20% of my weapon's rank is pretty much a non-issue?
    yep.
STR cap is nice to know when you conducting a test. But in realistic case, you'll just never touch that number.
How much a WAR can pump their STR with just gears and food btw ?
I think I said the wrong thing here...
if you can easily stack up your STR, you probably need 44(for rank 4 weapons) and 48 STR (for rank 5 weapons) higher in order to reach the cap.
So for WAR, it's possible to attain such cap in normal situation

Now my turn to ask question

    Regarding Relic weapon Light/Dark SC

We agree that The Lv3 properties make the Lv3 SC to itself right? (e.g. Namas->Namas = Light).
Now I'm just wondering if Namas->Namas->Namas chain makes double light?

The effect of relic weapons to continue light or dark are actually making a Light2 and Dark2, the WS closes Light 1 and Dark1 to make #2, it doesn't close a lvl2.

Pretty sure that FH->FH->FH doesn't make 2 light bursts. Need to find a shikikoyo samurai to test tho.

Relic#1 WS > relic#2 WS > light/dark > relic#2 WS doesn't continue any of the light or dark SCs if I remember correctly. Even if it's by different people.

Namas > Namas will make light, but another Namas after that won't continue it. In the same regard Kaiten > Namas will make light, but Namas after that wouldn't continue it. However, Namas > Kaiten followed by Namas will continue light.

So it seems you can't continue light/dark with the same relic WS that closes it. I'm pretty sure that applies for all of them.

    Hmm. Not my understanding.

My understanding is that there is "light" and there is "light continuation" (light2)

    light->relic = light2
    relic->relic = light2
    therefore namas->kaiten->namas shouldn't make a third light?

Can you show me a screenshot to the contrary? I haven't exactly had the opportunity to test...

I asked Saige on KI to test Meikyo + triple Namas, and he says no double light from there
but that doesn't say anything about 'different WS' right :/

I'm still confused on the weapon rank. How do you determine the weapon's rank and if I've reached the weapon rank, does that mean any further STR would be useless?

And I'm guessing, the higher the wrank, the higher the WS damage??

    Weapon Rank = int(Weapon Damage/9)
Example : Unlocked Maneater Weapon Damage : 49
    int(49/9) = int(5.444...) = 5
weapon rank indicates your fSTR cap
    fSTR cap = weapon rank + 8.
so for the case of maneater
    fSTR cap = 5+8 = 13

And I'm guessing, the higher the wrank, the higher the WS damage??
The higher wrank, the higher potential your WS damage, since you unlikely touch the cap value in practical case

hehe. I actually did 3/8 staff merits just for the hell of it, a while ago, but then I got RDM to 75 and felt it would be a good idea to work on finishing up merits for that before I bothered with silly useless stuff like staff >.>

I don't think I have any screen shots, not something I've looked for or tried to screen. I'll get one if I can pull aside Muteki or Lhexh to make a SC, since Kaiten > Metatron Torment makes light too.

I'm almost certain you can though, just on a Salvage run last week I'm pretty sure we did a few Kaiten > Metatron > Kaiten SCs if I remember correctly.

How is Metatron for dmg in comparison to KAiten?

    Similar? Noticeably worse? better?

Not as high but still good, Kaiten gets a significant boost in the +15% from Overwhelm merits. I'd say that without the +15% from Overwhelm they'd do close to the same damage with the right buffs.

Not a question, more like a complain:
Benediction does not cure Doom status

Besides not having lag, crafting in mog house has any other benefit over crafting in any other spot?
