40-mid 50's the wheel is near the best DPS in the game o_O just /WAR nukes usually do 70-80 damage unresisted...any ninja in that level range that didn't use the wheel lost hate more.Originally Posted by Jeryhn

I found this to be true also. Basically, once you start exping on Lesser Colibri, the wheel is not looking so great (which sucks, because since you can't eat food, you're whiffing the hell out of those little bastards too). And once you get Jin, there's hardly any point at all, aside from perhaps trying to soften the mob up for Hojo or Jubaku. But I staticed with a MNK/WAR who had full enmity merits, and the wheel helped a lot from 40 until the lower 50s. It was pretty fun, too. I meant to test out /BLM, but never got around to it. I did macro in a Ninjutsu Earring and Moldavite for all the wheel "nukes".Originally Posted by Carnusty
These days, the only thing I use those for is Fire in the Sky, and I actually only carry the fire one to test it out before the RDM uses Chainspell.
Are the "Coveffe Barrows" mentioned anywhere in game in any quest/mission that I do not recall? They are mentioned in one of the Tribune stories (Land of Promises - http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/Land_of_Promises). Mentions the Eldieme Necropolis being there. I just kinda assumed it was an older name for Batallia Downs, just curious.
not sure where else in the game, besides on the batallia map, the barrows are mentioned.
but it's specifically the name of all those burial mounds in batallia downs.
Thanks. So it looks like I will have to carry them around for a few levels (still 37 atm).Originally Posted by Bakthi

Is blu any good for salvage? What sj is preffered? normal /nin? 8)
Good blus are fine (as are most jobs now, really). SJ depends on what your role is.
Do bloody bolts proc on bats, albeit single or bat triplets?
just trying to ranger my ranger
as a lvl 1 rng, i'm going to say "probably" but the drain effect will likely be meek. i think you'd find you'll do way better using holy bolts due to the bat's native resistance to dark based effects and weakness to light based. again, never shot a bloody or a holy bolt in my entire time in ffxi, so take it for what you like.Originally Posted by Taylorman
Well im out to solo some xp at 45 since for some reason, i havent gotten an invite in a week, so damage mitigation is on my priority list. Also, to my dismay there isnt really a good worm leveling location other than W.Altepa but those worms only spawn at night.Originally Posted by Spekkio
I come in to hang around in the game lately. Quit a while back, but now have some free time and my friend who is paying for the account was kind enough to let me come in to chat.
Anyways, I have some armor slots that aren't filled atm. Anyone can refer me to any rare/ex drops(from NMs or CP item) for ammo and back that'd fit a 75 WHM to run around in? And rare/ex gloves for a 75 BST would be cool too.
Just something to do to pass the time.
Added: I remember there was those boomerang circle thingies, but I'm too low rank for that I think.
Do weather NPCs inform you of "foggy weather"?
I found ppl saying they do, others they dont..![]()
Things I can think of that might fight the bill come from ENMs (Hedgehog Bomb) or Assault (Intensifying cape).Originally Posted by Iono
Holy ampulla is from an NM in SSG. Low level piece but still not offensive. Healing feather comes from the solo ENM in Mineshaft.
I hate recommending int gear to WHMs but phantom tathlum has mp on it. Also check out what your racial throwing slot thingy is.
Will Thunder Staff affect the crit rate on ranged attacks too?

After your server loses the A/C and recovers it, do you start back out with 5% exp bonus that increments over time to 10% -> 15%? I don't even remember where I got those numbers or if they're right, how long does it take to get back to the full bonus?
Eight consecutive wins.
Wow fucking owned...Originally Posted by Suiram
Also, when/how was this found out?
Probably by someone killing an EM mob with Sanction each time Al Zahbi won besieged. That would be the easiest way >_>Originally Posted by Volken
