simplistically: they're identical except that one applies before your TP is calculated, and the other applies after. the effect in terms of attack speed is basically equivalent.
Um...You're going to confuse the guy, Amele. I know you know what you mean, but you said it wrong.

Items that "Enhance Dual Wield" give a specific amount of delay reduction based on which item it is. Suppanomimi is equivalent to 5% Haste, Sarashi is equivalent to 1% Haste, NIN AF1 is equivalent to 5%. Each Job Trait respectively is 10% > 5% > 10% > 5%.

In terms of attack speed, they are exactly the same. In terms of TP gain, however, Haste is better, because DW reduces your delay, thereby reducing your TP per hit.

I understood him ^^; I'm familiar with the formulas and such, I just didn't know if they made you attack faster by the same amount per unit.

    Re: Random Question Thread

Technically it's not really the same amount of attack speed upgrade, because Dual Wield bonuses are compounded -before- haste is. Technically someone with Suppa/Ninjachain/Kogahakama (Hasted) will attack faster than somone with Suppa/Chain/Byakkos (although it's a very minimal upgrade, they'll still technically attack faster).

Byakko's will still out-TP hakama, but Hakama -technically- attacks faster. Although even considering that, anyone that has both will still equip haidate over hakama anyways D:

    Re: Random Question Thread

it actually doesn't matter which is applied first (I mean, we can make educated guesses based on how one affects TP and the other doesn't, but it doesn't actually matter) thanks to the communicative property of multiplication. (that is, A * (B * C) == (A * B) * C )

you could set up a similar situation where wearing the haidate is better for raw attack speed, depending on the total amount of haste and dual-wield available. (basically, if you have more haste than dual-wield excluding the legs slot, the haste will have a greater effect than the dual-wield) the converse is also true, as you pointed out.

why is the "newbie player advice" section more advanced than the "advanced discussion" section?

Not picky enough, since that's the associative property....

talk about a collective owning XD

yeah, I meant associative, but I got spellcheck'd on a mispelling of commutative. (that's what I get for using context menu auto-correct haha)

anyway, yeah. associative property says we don't actually care which is in what order: rest of statement is accurate.

And because until SE decides to fix AV, there is little field for improvement until people can dominate Einherjar; which translates in almost no advanced advancements (go me... -_-).
    Drama is always welcome *'-')b.

Because all of the advanced stuff has been discussed to death. Only think left until the next update is more drama, unless someone makes an incredible discovery.

It isn't. All the questions asked in this forum are things that people already know (except newbies).

It just appears more advanced because people are having serious discussions, whereas in the advanced forum, it's more about arguing and debating. But since those serious discussions are about things that people would ordinarily be ZAM'd for in any other forum, they are actually less advanced in nature.

If you completely wipe and he has no DoTs, he will regain HP in 10% chunks.

Not that I really want to be in the situation again where this could be tested, but I'm pretty sure the Dynamis Lord regenerates in greater increments than normal unaggro'd enemies, closer to 20% per interval.

It's possible to zombie Dynamis Lord to some extent, but it's much, much harder since the effects of double weakness were introduced (aside from Dynamis Lord wandering around with Ying and Yang all the while casting Death or using Oblivion Smash on the members trying to recover). In most cases, getting to a zombie phase with the Dynamis Lord means you've already lost.

You know how when a lot of people die to a mob but not everyone has lost hate and it goes yellow? normally the only problem in this situation is a jackass LS may steal it(Save me the irony odinites), but this is dynamis so thats not an issue, however at this point DL regenerates like a mad man, even when some people still have hate, if he is yellow, thats bad.

One main thing i noticed when i killed him is you really need to keep him claimed at all times, I seem to have noticed that dot's dont necessarily have to wear off for it to go unclaimed, that or they wear off extremely fast, so if at any point damage is not being done or someone voking, it will go unclaimed and regen, it is for this reason i do not think zombie'ing is an effective plan in the event of a wipe. You are probably better off full wiping and trying again assuming you have time, but then again zombie'ing anything ends up taking longer than a full wipe/recover(usually >.>).

and my question: why does BG use a really dumb & sign?
