NP, good luck and have fun pokin' stinky imps :D
this is a good way to keep them from ever really learning it - remember, you don't learn hate control in exp anymore, the entire point of a modern merit is for every melee to generate large amounts of hate by doing as much damage as they can - so that no one of them is tanking the entire fight.Originally Posted by Osede
so basically, let them come melee when it's not going to be a huge deal (and not just to stuff like dynamis but to fights were they should learn) and give them opportunities to improve.
75THF/74BRD, I have a scorp harness and a Pln. body. Next job I level is going to be SAM or PLD. I only use THF for slapping the occasional EP/DC mob solo, and my evasion is high enough that I can melee in pln. body. Should I sell the harness?![]()
SH is one of those items that you can use for a lot of mid level jobs, and is good for capped events. I'd personally say that you shouldn't, but if you don't intend on doing those things then why not.Originally Posted by Tradition

I just got Rajas ring..... and everyone is telling me to TP in rajas. I only have 75mnk and 75Nin. I thought for sure it was just a WS piece. Should I stick with Snipersx2 for TP and Sniper/Rajas for WS? Or is the general consensus that Sniper/Rajas for TP and WS is the way to go?
If you aren't cheap or poor, go with 2xsnipers. Rajas is good for tp only if the store tp reduces your needed attack rounds to get 100%. (eg. Sam 6hit)
Store TP +6 = -1 attack round to reach 100%. You get Store TP +1 from brutal earring.Originally Posted by Raylinn

depends on your specific delay, for ninja this is true if you're wielding either S/P U/U or S/F with typical amounts of dual wield gear (say, one or two +5% pieces) 6STP will save two connected swings or one round.
if you're wielding U/P you're right on the edge - assuming the averaging is floored toward slower/more TP, it should work out to 2 swings still.
if it works out that the flooring is in favor of you going faster/less TP you'll need a seventh point (chivalrous chain gives you this if that's what you tp in).
Few mnk questions~
1) So I dropped 3 merits into formless strikes on my mnk thinking it would be useful for the Excavation Duty assault on the walls. Only to finally do it and see it was crap damage compared to my normal fists. Is there any use for formless strikes outside of elementals(I assume), flans, and when random crap in dynamis uses invincible?
2) When I counter a hit on mnk does the mob get tp even though I don't? If so, how much tp is it getting? Just the static (5?)tp they normally get per hit or does it count as if I punched it normally?
3) I've been hundred fisting things a lot lately so I've been trying to switch out to stuff like life belt, ohat etc. since haste isn't doing me much good. But from the past 5 or so times I've hundred fisted(never really paid attention before) I've noticed that all I do is punch. Have I just been having bad luck, is the kick animation just not going off, or do you not actually kick during hundred fists(which wouldn't make since to me)? Trying to decide if I should drop dune boots for hundred fists.
Do the -bane (Trollbane, Lamiabane & Mamoolbane) latents only work in their respective zones or all 3? The Wiki is saying all 3, but I could've sworn I read that they only work in their respective zone.![]()
Everything that I've read state that they only apply to the beastmen zone they are named after.Originally Posted by djriceyes
I used the Trollbane in Mamook a few times on my THF a few months back and I noticed an increase in Crit Hits over time. Didn't parse the % and nor will I pull a number out of thin air but it was enough of an increase to notice.Originally Posted by Credos
Wiki says the Latent from all 3 -bane weapons are active in any of the ToAU beastman strongholds, which is why I got a Trollbane. From personal experience I would say that info is accurate.

You kick but often the game drops the animation for it.3) I've been hundred fisting things a lot lately so I've been trying to switch out to stuff like life belt, ohat etc. since haste isn't doing me much good. Concerning tests on Sirius Axe... did anyone bother to test if party members increased pet damage?
Soooo I finally have enough money to buy a Unji, but-I don't have a Swift belt or Hakama/Haidate(hoping one drops tomorrow in Sandy (>*.*)> ). Currently I'm using S/F, and I'm rank 6 so I can't really purchase a Perdu at the moment.
I don't really want to -not- do justice to a speed katana offhand...should I wait before buying or go ahead?
There's two Unjis up atm so I'm like @.@!
Also to fill in, I'm planning to use Senji mainhand, until I get a Perdu, so S/U would be what I'd want to do then later P/U.
I'd go for it. See if one of the unji sellers undercut the other.
Its not like you were just gonna sell it back once you got S/P anyway.
