our LS tries to avoid that b/c you're going to get jobs that get less love, like DRG, getting less pieces despite putting in the same amount of effort. our aim is to just try to get more of it faster than spend all our time arguing and shouting about who gets what. i figure 2 pairs of homam pants, 1 on a happy pld and 1 on a happy drg is much better than 1 pair of homam pants on a happy pld, and no pants on an angry drg, with the drama that follows. ^^ even then, people argue, but everyone gets an equal shake and an equal shot, so that usually blows over quickly.Originally Posted by evilpaul
Ok, but like, are there certain pieces that should go to certain jobs first? I was thinking like Homam Hands are PLD>all others, similar to how Abjurations are done. Or do you just let all the ppl that have those jobs that can equip at 75 lot?Originally Posted by Spekkio
i just got finished with a heavy revamp of our omega/ultima lotting rules. no, we have no restrictions that pld should lot the homam hands first, that happens purely as an artifact of it. everyone picks something they want, there's a queue to lot it, when you're up, you take your item home. no mess, no fuss, easy. now, since pld benefit a lot from homam hands, they're going to gravitate towards that queue, while, say, thf do not benefit so much from them and will go for the body or the pants. as such, this tends towards the jobs that best can use items getting them first b/c everyone makes their own decisions about what's most important to them. think about it from an economist's point of view and you're basically letting the hand of the market handle your work for you. all you have to do is keep the lines up to date and everyone's happy. ^^Originally Posted by Arnwulf
the ls I'm co leading is equal priority to all jobs that can equip. honestly, abjurations should be the same way (at least sky abj. I can see an argument for king abj's given how relatively rare they might be).Originally Posted by Arnwulf
if you have a balanced loot system (i.e. something along the lines of a rotating queue or a zero sum dkp, etc.) then players will self select the pieces they want the most first anyway, balanced by how long they're willing to wait before getting *any* piece.

Last time I checked, you put the belt on using the Equipment menu

Ah, ok. Yes that would be magic. But Speed Belt and the like is equipment. I thought the initial question was regarding all belts with Haste on them, thus my confusion ;P
Does a chocobo's attributes cap?
At day 88 it has lvl6 strength and lvl3 endurance and hasn't changed since about day 50. Have been feeding it 1 Vomp carrot and 1 Azouph green every time I check on it. At one point I fed it a Zegham carrot to see what it would do and it brought my endurance down to lvl3 and it hasn't changed since. Have been keeping it on an alternating schedule of Carry packages/Deliver messages and long walks or compete against others when it has HP for it.
Will the attributes go up or am I stuck with a half-assed bird?
Brutal\fighter's roll\war sub are 3 of the worst things for kc Zerg. Double attack nerfs da Kc hard.Originally Posted by Fryte
i've been hearing some murmurs about drk/drg for kclub drks due to claims that the multi-hit can proc on jump. since we already know that double attack can proc on it, this seems very reasonable to assume. the addition of the wyvern earring and the very minor bonus of the accuracy bonus trait that /drg offers, is there any conclusive evidence one way or the other or is the jury still out?Originally Posted by residue
Club can proc on jumps, in fact there shoudl be some pics in the media section IIRC.
Is the Wiki info on Bonnacon correct? Are the PH any of the Buffalo at D-8? Or can they also be the south side at D-9?
Is it sleepable w/ or w/o ES by a BLM, btw?
I've heard comments like this alot, but I'm never sure what to make of it. has there been a thorough test made, or is it assumed that because zilart multihits don't stack with double/triple attack, that DA/TA must check first and preclude the weapon multi?Originally Posted by residue
(I tend to think it's the other way around, that the multiattack traits only check if the multihit weapon did not proc.) based on my very informal tests with soboro sam/war and sam/rng.
I'd just like to know one way or the other, honestly; so if someone has a link to a research project/ test that confirms this one way or another please pass it along. ^^ (or help me devise a rigorous test for soboro.. I think a kclub / oclub would be most dramatic though)
I've only seen him pop on the north side, but when I camp we kill all of the buffalo anyway.Originally Posted by evilpaul
never tried to sleep it.
i seem to vaguely recall it popping just west and a little south of the up ramp when it nearly aggroed us (we were doing weapon skill points up there for shits and paying very little attention.) i can't say i can remember for sure though, so take it for what you care.Originally Posted by Amele
Check talk:ridill on wikipedia, Searnin did a bunch of testing that suggest DA procs first and overwrites ridill's ability to triple attack.Originally Posted by Amele
that's pretty nice work, although still too limited to say for sure either way; thanks.Originally Posted by aurik
I'll make a similar test on soboro next time I get the opportunity and add the results to that talk page like he requested.
it'd be nice to see what the rate is with no double attack / zanshin / triple etc at all.. maybe I'll bug a friend of mine to use her ridill with ranger for a test.
Fought him once before bored one day, tried meleeing him down as rdm/nin (I think I was 73 at the time...been awhile), and ended up just sleep/nuking him down.Originally Posted by Spekkio
He does sleep, though I can't say with certainty how reliable a blm's sleep will be.
he is easily sleepable as a blm w/o elemental seal, tho i tend to use sleep2 only on him. i solo him regularly on blm, and while im 90% certain i've soloed him /whm, i find it much easier soloing him /rdm. what i do is pull with gravity, run > thunder4 > aspir > burst 2 > sleep 2 with him at the bottom of the ramp, and kite him up and down the ramp sleeping him when i need to make the turn. i tend to only use elemental seal sleep2 when i need to rest mp so that i have the full 90 seconds. i've only ever been killed by bonnacon once out of probably 20 kills. bonnacon has an additional effect of stun which i've found procs about 50% of the time(i have no math behind this, just eyeballing), which is why out of all of your buffs, blink is the most important. the only time he ever killed me was even tho i was fully buffed, due to the random nature of blink, he landed a hit that despite landing for 0, stunned me. he then proceeded to land stun on every subsequent hit, dropping my blink, then my stoneskin, and eventually me. however that was a rare occasion, happening only once, or roughly 5% of my attempts.Originally Posted by evilpaul
also one note: bonnacon is almost entirely resistant to ice based magic. blizzard magic is a waste of mp, generally seeing 1/8th at best resists, and i have yet to land bind on him, to the point that i just don't bother. another thing is that he has a ton of HP, so don't panic when your first nuke lands and it only seems to take 2-4% of its HP off.
as for drops, i hope you have better luck than i do... out of 20ish kills, i have yet to see him drop anything other than meat, hide or an ice crystal.
