Is the Wiki info on Bonnacon correct? Are the PH any of the Buffalo at D-8? Or can they also be the south side at D-9?

Is it sleepable w/ or w/o ES by a BLM, btw?

he is easily sleepable as a blm w/o elemental seal, tho i tend to use sleep2 only on him. i solo him regularly on blm, and while im 90% certain i've soloed him /whm, i find it much easier soloing him /rdm. what i do is pull with gravity, run > thunder4 > aspir > burst 2 > sleep 2 with him at the bottom of the ramp, and kite him up and down the ramp sleeping him when i need to make the turn. i tend to only use elemental seal sleep2 when i need to rest mp so that i have the full 90 seconds. i've only ever been killed by bonnacon once out of probably 20 kills. bonnacon has an additional effect of stun which i've found procs about 50% of the time(i have no math behind this, just eyeballing), which is why out of all of your buffs, blink is the most important. the only time he ever killed me was even tho i was fully buffed, due to the random nature of blink, he landed a hit that despite landing for 0, stunned me. he then proceeded to land stun on every subsequent hit, dropping my blink, then my stoneskin, and eventually me. however that was a rare occasion, happening only once, or roughly 5% of my attempts.

also one note: bonnacon is almost entirely resistant to ice based magic. blizzard magic is a waste of mp, generally seeing 1/8th at best resists, and i have yet to land bind on him, to the point that i just don't bother. another thing is that he has a ton of HP, so don't panic when your first nuke lands and it only seems to take 2-4% of its HP off.

lol im entirely sure there are people who've gone 1/1 on bonnacon who just chuckle reading my post. it's all good... as someone who's first job to 75 was rng, i enjoy being able to solo things

when i need exp, i tend to climb all the way up and fight the king buffalos(i can make the run in about 10 minutes depending on how bitchy molechs decide to be)...

that said, the bonnacon pop area is great when im skilling up staff or just farming meat and don't feel like climbing the mountain. i have only seen bonnacon pop from the buffalos near the ramp, not all the buffalos in that spawn area.

and you're absolutely right aurik, i've seen several jobs, namely nin/thf, thf/nin and rdm/nin solo bonnacon with little to no difficulty. basically w/ utsusemi and decent evasion(ie, not a rng lol), the worst part about him is his tp moves. rampant gnaw, if it lands, is a fairly nasty paralyze, and lowing is -3mp/tp(yes, tp) a tick. tho even sticking w/ just thunder4 and burst2 and sleeping bonnacon frequently, at least on blm, it's rare for him to get a tp move off on me. the same can't be said of ppl who melee him down, but other than folks getting boned by paralyze, unless he stuns you a lot, he really is a cakewalk.

I remember soloing it on blm/nin. Forgot how, but sleep probably sticked. Dont get hit by enpetrify (or is it enstun?). Got killed once by it.

STR .. best IMO is 2-3 Vomp Carrots a day, vary between Carrying Packages and Delivering Messages.

You may want to get some Cupid Worms for when it hates you.

You can get First-Class STR and END just spamming Carry Packages and feeding either Vomp Carrots or Gyshal Greens depending on how much affection you need to rebuild after having it go on long walks as the daily activity. Stat gains from feeding food seem pretty minimal in my experience, so it might be cheaper just to go with greens.

Anyone got a solid strategy for Ashu Talif 2? Reading through old threads but found nothing specific yet.

Been trying it 2xBLM WHM RDM 2xNin and we keep getting overwhelmed with mobs and MP gets sucked dry.

We usually leave the WHM and BLM behind to cure the NPC and -aga the mobs whilst NINs make a dash for the NM but either the NPC gets killed because BLM or WHM run out of MP or the NINs get killed by adds.
Tried having a NIN hang back with the NPC but the other went down due to adds.

Best to have a NIN or the RDM wait at stairs then 'voke/dia NM and drag him outside?

How did they calculated evasion -100?

Anyway, -100 defense/-100eva won't change much for warrior in xp party. Monster's accuracy is already capped at 95%, and you usually have around 200def with zerk up. If it wasn't an aoe food that cost a ton, 60atk/25accuracy is pretty good imo. Would parse higher than meat kabob (60atk), Sushi (~45acc, not sure exactly), and probably hedgehog pie (90atk/5acc).

The cap on accuracy/atk is pretty low too, most job can get that much in the 50. This food isnt much different than aggressor+berserk in a way. Would be interesting to see it in a lv 50-60 tp burn party.

if you can't get it to load, make sure you unzipped the -entire- zip into the same folder, and make sure you installed the right version of the .net framework (2.0)

if it's loading and you just can't get it to parse.. well shit son, mess with the buttons. file>start new parse>select columns>done

make sure you're not filtering the stuff you want to see on the parse too.
