For XP and Event respectively, which Gaxe is best to use with a Haidate + Ares' Cuirass combo
Fortitude
Byakko's
Martial
Perdu
Assuming sub SAM also, very new to the whole WAR business but have Ares' for PLD and wanna play with it on WAR

In my experience fortitude wrecks every other option in exp/limbus/dynamis/etc. DoT and TP gain are insane, and WS damage isn't too bad. I'd assume martial is still best for bigger stuff, but I usually go brd to such things, so I don't have much input.
is that all you bsaed your opinion on? If you had factored in the fact that justice can proc during ws while joyuse cant i probably would have seen you say something different so i'm assuming you forgot about that?Originally Posted by Miang
(even if they're E defense) they'd still be at least 292 defense (lowest level spartoi warrior) so you'd need at least 628 attack for the weakest one; which is obtainable sure.Originally Posted by RandomLurker
you'd need more like 712+ attack for the level 82 spartoi sorcerors.. (even assuming E defense) so I don't know if pre-AU it was really that likely to have capped attack even /drg.
I've played around a lot with justice and joy, and I notice that I get pretty much the same TP returns with justice/joy and joy/justice.Originally Posted by Khajit
Pretty sure that was proved wrong not long ago.Originally Posted by Khajit

Considering the usual proc rate is around 50%, the chances of a sea weapon based double attack being able to double attack at 50% chance in a weaponskill and NOT proccing in 30 weaponskills is very, very small (something like 0.000003%).
For what it's worth, I also did about 20 WS tests with Fort Axe and didn't get any virtue stone consumptions. I use Fortitude almost exclusively now when using G Axe.

From this, I assumed Justice couldn't proc on WSs, since if it did, I'd be getting more TP (especially when soloing TW~EPs, where I'd most likely be landing every hit of most WSs with my setup).
But I like this other test more. Got the same result as I did, but in a more effective manner.
Myochin Kote+1 :
Any reason getting this if I already have dusk gloves?
Is there a proven difference between an evasion earring and a dodge earring?
That would be pretty much impossible to prove, since you cant check people wearing each earring... I wouldn't like to see a sample size big enough to know the difference between those twoOriginally Posted by Aireiya
This is just speculation, but it makes sense. Chances are that evasion skill > evasion works similarly to weaponskill > accuracy (0.9eva per eva skill over 200).
for ws? hell I wouldn't mind wearing it full time. myochin kote+1 are even more badass now since 2hand update. STR+7 DEX+7 ATK+7 ACC+7 ftmfw.Originally Posted by VZX
Is there any way possible, on any job, to solo the BCNM 60 Up In Arms?
Solo.. welllll hm... VERY VERY VERY hard, if not impossible, BLM would be the only job that I think could put out enough damage to win it at level 60 (and that would require manafont + meds if you were going to be solo). I dual-boxed (second PC second account) with a RDM + BLM and I won it 3/3 the other day, I have a video of the whole fight but know next to nothing about compressing / uploading videos blah blah so I can't really show it to you as an example. I do a good deal of nuking with the rdm (probably somewhere around 30-40% of the damage is from rdm) and I still only clear it in ~10-12 mins (15min limit). With Manafont + Vile Elixir + Vile Elixir +1 and a bunch of hi-ethers + yagudo drinks it MIGHT be possible, but I wouldn't advise trying it. It has somewhere around 7000-7500 hp so that's what you'd have to be shooting to do in 15mins, while managing to keep it slept / bound / not killing you at the same time etc. Easy with a decent rdm + blm, cake with 2 blms or other 3-man setups, very very tough solo, but I wouldn't say impossible. The biggest limiting factor would be time I think.Originally Posted by Swampthing
I'd be interested in hearing what you do with BLM and RDM duo
I could swing dual boxing those, soon, I'd have to level BLM to 60 from 48 on one character, but I planned on doing that eventually anyways XD
Thanks for the help ^^
Yay someone asking me for help / adviceI like helping people in this game, be it friends or random players (as long as they are appreciative, so I'm glad to be of help :D ).
NOTICE : LONG POST TO FOLLOW - Skip if you're not interested in hearing my strategy on duo-ing Up In Arms BC60
Well firstly, I could show you if someone can explain how to compress / upload videos (I could youtube it or something or w/e) as I have a full-length good quality vid of dual-boxing the fight. Since I would need help with that I will basically explain what I did (including as many details as I can), here goes (by all means this is not the only way to do it, this is just how I did it)
Prep : My setup is :
Myself (Hume BLM/RDM - 1 MP Merit) ~670 mp base with my gear + 50 from rolanberry pie putting me around 720.
Second Account (Taru RDM/BLM - no mp merits, almost naked - NQ staves + AF hat / body - laugh if you want, I don't keep level cap gear for a mule that I almost never use in level cap situations so most of his gear gets taken off - enfeebling lvl 3 for merits, some misc rdm merits like vert recast but for this it doesn't matter - ~700ish MP total with Rolanberry Pie.
Strat :
A ) BRING RERAISE - I didn't have any deaths, but if you wipe @ like 3% and don't have reraise, you'll regret not being able to get back up and finish it off.
B ) Have enough MP on your BLM for Burst AND Freeze and possibly a stun (~700 ish is good) without having to rest.
C )Bring Hi-Ethers if you think you will need them (I used some but weren't required) or vile elixirs etc (be warned hi-ethers lock you for a good 8-10 seconds so they are only marginally useful)
D ) /RDM is nice on blm for the fast cast & backup gravity since you don't get stoneskin from whm sub anyways, I never got hit during my good two runs (first was a bit messy) so not a big deal (I didn't even bother with buffs on blm after the second run)
E ) /BLM is best for the rdm as you do not really need divine seal etc and the elemental seal is a life-saver, I strongly recommend this sub for the rdm.
F ) elemental skill etc merits help a lot as resists could make you lose (if you get a lot of them) and its required for the rdm to nuke as well because without 2hr / a lot of meds you won't be able to win in time with only BLM dmg.
G ) Ok I think that's most of what I can think of to be prepared for the fight, here goes the strat.
Fight Rundown :
MOST Important thing is to be prepared and have your run planned out so you don't panic during the run, you need to remain focused, and also quick at switching between players / executing macros etc.
Second most important thing is to not abuse gravity / bind / sleep. DO NOT overcast them, do not use them if you don't need it, try to sleep it as few times as possible, I almost lost my first run because I slept it too many times and by the time I had it to 5% I couldn't land bind / sleep on it at all and gravity was iffy, I almost died. Lean towards bind as much as possible early on, overwrite sleep with sleep 2 for longer sleep while not having it wake up again, and only cast gravity when you need it (example, if you just slept it, and gravity wore off, don't bother casting it, its not necessary, wait till its going to wake up / you're going to nuke it, then re-apply). By the third run I got very good at using as few casts of sleep / bind / gravity etc - sadly I ran out of seals ; ;. Another thing of note is to dispel his Regen when he uses it, don't want him regaining any hp when it can already be tight on killing him fast enough. Anyways, on to the run.
Ok, so you're ready to duo the BC, eat your pies, trade the orb, START A TIMER - this is very very important, you need to know EXACTLY how much time you have left so you know if you need to manafont / chainspell / deal damage faster etc, also allows you to not panic thinking you have no time left when you are still doing well.
So now you're in the BC, go time. Refresh both chars, put up Stoneskin + Blink on RDM, blink if you feel like it on blm, use RR items, move up to the circle.
Open with Freeze, when the cast is about to land, cast Bind with RDM, follow with Gravity, reposition BLM at max range.
Cast Burst, Nuke with RDM also (blizzard 2 / thunder 2 are your best, I rotated those), follow by running BLM ALL the way back to the bc entrance, start resting.
Continue to nuke with RDM allowing Fe'e to slowly move down the hallway, Bind while waiting on recast timers / if gravity wears off. Should be at around 60% at this point, when you're about 2/3 of the way back to start, sleep him.
Rebuff, refresh both characters, continue resting with blm. Overwrite the sleep 1 with Sleep 2 after buffs.
BLM MP should reach full, re-apply Gravity with RDM, cast Freeze with BLM. Bind after Freeze lands, adjust blm, cast Burst, nuke with RDM, cast sleep. Fe'e should be around 50% at this point.
Run BLM back to the start area, rest. Rebuff rdm, refresh both characters. Sleep 2 with RDM to overwrite the sleep 1 on Fe'e. Convert, cure to full (assuming you've burned all mp nuking / casting by this point (ideally you have)). Take a short rest to get some mp back.
Re-apply Gravity before Fe'e Wakes up (or when he does) - proceed to nuke with RDM while moving him slowly towards the BLM while waiting on recasts & BLM MP. BLM mp should reach full, bring blm over and nuke with what MP you have then sleep 1 again with RDM. Overwrite sleep 1 with an Elemental Sealed Sleep 2 to buy time to rest BLM MP again.
Rebuff, refresh both characters. Once MP is good again, Freeze + Burst + nuke with RDM and finish it off. Use Elemental Seal Sleepga II if you need a good rest for mp / got a lot of resists.
If you are running low on MP / Time use 2hours if you need them to avoid losing / timing out.
Feel free to comment / question this strategy, but it worked perfectly for me and once I got the hang of it resulted in easy clears with ~3-4 mins to spare.
Once again if someone could explain / link me to how to compress videos / what would be a good way to do it (mine are recorded in fraps and are WMV format and are huge lol) I can post my video of doing it.
Hope this helps![]()
OK, how If I already have alky/pallas' and dusk?Originally Posted by Saraphym

for melee'ing when you need acc maybe? other then that you probably don't need them. tbh i'd just use myochin kote+1 full time or at least to tp in and sell dusk. They're practically maat's cap for your hands, from a dd standpoint anyway.Originally Posted by VZX

I don't see any other good SAM AF+1 from Limbus
