What's the drop rate like on Ultima's Claw?
Is Ultima a cock like Omega and drop a piece as often as zuchetto?

Axe/Axe War/nin Or Gaxe War/Sam?
I know riddle wars are still on top, but is it better for the axe users to jump to gaxe?
19% Haste gear, and Supa, and full axe merrits
Haub +1
Bergressor x2
DA x 4
No PCC or Firebomblet, just chiv and BC
Pretty Run of the mil AH WAR, with some Sky gear
Just following the "general rule" for WS Gorgets, if its a one hit then go for the Sea Gorget, if its a multiple hit go with the Torque. BUT, I could be wrong on multiple hits if the accuracy modifier applies to all hits, which I think is generally accepted to be untrue. This is all just regurgitation of what I have read else where. I think you could figure it out if you did the math.Originally Posted by Therin
This is all from a person that doesn't work well with numbers so bare with me.
For Steel Cyclone 1.50 1.75 3.00 1x STR_50%, VIT_50%
Fortitude Torque: +5 VIT for a 50% WS modifier, +7 Attack and +7 Accuracy from the skill. The VIT is nice.
Sea Gorget: 1.60 Damage modifier (if that is even correct) and some unknown amount of accuracy (likely much higher than the +7 Accuracy)
For Spinning Slash 2.50 3.00 3.50 1x STR_30%, INT_30%
Prudence Torque: +5 INT for a 30% WS modifier, +7 Attack and +7 Accuracy from the skill.
Sea Gorget: 2.60 Damage modifier (again if that is correct) and that nice accuracy boost for a one hit WS.
So the basic question you have for each is the WS modifier and +7 Attack better than the +.1 damage modifier. The accuracy from what I understand really favors the Sea Gorgets for one hit WS's.
Accuracy itself is no issue whatsoever for my DRK, since the update (Ace's Helm, full G.Swd merits, Haub+1, 4/5 homam etc.) so it's just a question of the attack.
So far I've heard 3 people say Sea Gorget would be better for Spinning Slash than Prudence Torque. I guess I'll get myself a Breeze, then (since I can use that for Blade:Jin later, as well).
Thanks.

I know there are a lot of threads about this, but I just want a quick answer without wading threw pages of math. For drk with average haste gear (w. turban, homam legs/feet, dusk gloves, haste belt), would it better better to go with rune chopper or merc kris for SEBW?
EDIT: Assuming hasso and maxed desperate blows for rune chopper. Also, brutal vs. cassie with the chopper?
a drk can reach 25+43.3+15+10=93.3% haste on SE bloodweapon with a rune chopper. rune chopper has 504 delay, so 6.7% of 504=about 32 delay. let's assume you sub drg on the m kris so i can recycle a lot of the math. haste gear would be nearly identical, except you'd wear a wyvern earring to reach the haste cap (i think you'd lose a tad of HP gear, but let's ignore that for the math.) 25+43.3=68.3% haste. 31.7% of 192=60 delay roughly. assume it multi swings half the time, and it's an even split of 2 attacks and 3 attacks. thus, out of 100 attacks, you'd get 75 extra attacks, or a 75% gain in attacks. 60*100/175=about 34 delay. as such, you can expect about the exact same number of swings out of the two weapons. now consider the rating of each weapon for a drk. b- on gaxe, vs c on dagger. as such, you'll need 15*.9=about 13.5 more acc to cover for the loss in rank. consider also the accuracy bonus you get from dex w/ a 2 hander. finally, taking into account the slightly higher acc natively on the rune chopper, you will likely hit more often with the chopper. one additional consideration is the damage on the weapon. a rune chopper carries a damage of 88. while surely nothing groundbreaking, the extra damage from those hits (especially when doubled by blood weapon) should have a noticeable impact on your output. the final answer, based on only my calculations and no actual verification would be that rune chopper vastly outperforms the m kris for souleater zerging. anyone who ACTUALLY has parses on this though, i'd love to hear from you, as souleater zerg is something i'm absolutely fascinated with.Originally Posted by fantasticdan

Anyone know the actual Smithing cap on Steel Bullets? Wiki has 30, Somepage wasn't updated but comments say 30, Alla() says 33...but I'm kind of wondering since people have said it's a multiple of 10 cap before because they didn't have the 'limit break' thingy done before.

its 30. I've tested it myself, with 60 skill and smithing mitts I can hit tier 2. before I was 56, with adv skill and mitts only tier 1.
heres a good question: for people who have decimals on their TP returns, when you WS, does it truncate the decimal for first hit? or does it return one higher sometimes like regular hits?
Example: my GAxe war gets 14.5 TP per hit. When I use Raging Rush, will I always get a 14 TP first hit, or will I occasionally get a 15?
Wondering this because I could have sworn I got an 18 TP return Raging Rush once, trying to figure out if its possible or a mob that hit me.
EDIT: just did it again, 1923 Raging Rush on Mamool SP puk, got 18 TP
Hi
I used the perdu/karasuageha combo. And here is my gears for the speed hit setup.
Turban, fire bomblet, pc amulet, suppa, brutal, af1 body hq, dusk hand nq, 2 sniper hq, forager, swift, bhaidate and fuma sune ate.
With this gear + brd for merit pt, it was average 500 on jin ws on mamool. I know its pretty low. Feel free to comment tho.
I think it was covered in here earlier, but search isn't working and I don't want to scroll through 60 pages
Yigit gear seems like a good way to kill a ton of inventory to help with resting mp. But how often is the full set useful? Seems like a nice set to wear while resting, but what jobs would actually get a lot of use out of it? BRD and RDM maybe, but how often are they actually sitting down? BLM WHM and BLU seem to get the most out of the full set, but anyone have any firsthand experience with this?
thanks![]()

If you rest in Baron's Slops as BLM the Yigit can replace those. Same with the body piece and Weskit mostly if you've got Elemental Magic merits. Feet are the best damage piece, so you'd want those anyway. Hands and head are a little unremarkable, but two more slots for much better hMP are worth it, imho. They'll let you leave a MND piece you carry only for Stoneskin (Kirin's Pole or something maybe?) in MH.Originally Posted by Chreman
I don't yet have the full set, but would be able to fit it into my already cramped 60 slots and still have Sorc's Ring proc gear.
As for WHM and BLU...mine are 38 and 18 respectively, and I really have no idea what they carry around to be able to comment.
Killing inventory space for the sake of getting MP back faster is worth it, I think. I must have spent half my time on SMN sitting on my ass. Anything that makes my MP come back faster is worth it to me.Originally Posted by Chreman

Does Angon stack with Acid Bolts & Dia ?
I thought Dia had its own icon/debuff attribute personally but Acid Bolts may cancel Angon or have no effect ? We have a Bravura in LS too and Metatron is -12.5% Defense too(?), hopefully all good for TP burns lol.
Thanks in advance. @.@

If you have goliard feet and hydra beret/goliard head (is there another +hmp head?) then going with a mixture is better, even if you dont switch to refresh between ticks. But otherwise, probably not. That said, for jobs like BLU and (if ever resting at all, rdm, and whm), getting back the most mp on the initial tick is also important. That said you can just switch to verm/refresh body between ticks and gain quite an advantage by mix/matching.
The problem is, the only pieces of yigit I don't actually use for purposes outside of resting are body and legs, so if I changed to a mixed set Id end up with less space overall. Head, hands and feet are great for Magic Hammer on BLU, as well as general casting, and head/hands have uses for RDM (full mind for enfeebles, and good stats when you cant use mst.cst. bracelets).
