Wondering this because I could have sworn I got an 18 TP return Raging Rush once, trying to figure out if its possible or a mob that hit me.

EDIT: just did it again, 1923 Raging Rush on Mamool SP puk, got 18 TP
every time I've bothered to pay close attention, the TP display is always floored (you'll only get the 'fraction' when it adds up.) so if the world conspired to somehow give you 99.9 TP, you'd still 99 TP (and not 100) for instance.

likewise, 14.5 TP/hit would be 14 tp on the first hit every time.

    Raging rush = 3 hit
    14.5 = first hit
    14.5 + 1 = first +2nd
    14.5 + 1 +1 = first + 2nd +3rd
    14.5 + 1 + 1 + 1 = first + 2nd + 3rd +1 DA
    14.5 + 1 + 1 + 1 +1 = first + 2nd + 3rd + 1st DA + 2nd DA <-- you are here

Wait, I was under the impression you could only Double Attack or Triple Attack once per WS, is that not true? Is the only limit the '8 swing' ceiling?

    quoted for truth.

I have smn, whm, brd and blm. I only use the body for brd. I use the feet for blm nuking. I use the set for hmp for all jobs except brd and it has made a huge difference. It hp absolutely worth it. Can't recommend it enough.

On multi-hit, you can do twice.

    Edit:

    Also, I personally have got 16 TP return on vorpal blade (225 + 236 delay swords) on BLU/NIN (10+1+1+1+1+ (1 + 1))

Do you count dual weild as multihit due to offhand? I've done a triple attack in both hands on mercy a bunch, 13% TP return (9 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 ).

You can't find any other explanations, can you?
    That indeed counted as multi-hit

that would actually be [10+1+1+1]+(1+1+1) If you got 16 TP, it's either Store TP or 3x Double Attacks.

    Probably two Double Attacks plus Store TP+2 from a Brutal + Chivalrous Chain (.2 * 5 = 1)?

honestly, i've never bothered to calculate the actual output from blood weapon, and since my drk is 11, i've never used it myself. it was my conception that blood weapon will drain an amount from the target equal to your hit, so if you hit for 50, you drain another 50 for a total of 100. this is the way it was explained to me i think, but i could just be a moron. flame as you like, but if i had incorrect conceptions, i'd REALLY like to correct them now so i don't continue to make an ass of myself by not knowing what a bloody 2 hr does. >< /noob off.

also, with regard to my prior post, something i failed to factor in was that you'll lose a second or two of either bw or LR (and thus desperate blows) when you use the other JA, thus reducing the window you can damage for. i still think my math holds up above, but it does reduce it by several percent if you're losing 1 or more swings in that 30s.

    Thanks in advance. @.@
I believe this is how Acid Bolt and Angon are calculated: Because Acid Bolt is -15%(?) defense and Angon is -20% defense, the Angon will over rule the Acid Bolt. I believe there is no effect if Acid Bolt is used after angon?

It will stack with Dia if sources are correct in saying that magical -defense% will stack with a job ability -defense% (or Acid Bolt).

    My question:
How much damage reduction % is taken off with Tomahawk? I don't think it's a pure 100% damage reduction removal (when used on elementals). Is it also the same as Angon (-20% damage reduction).

    my per hand TP with suppa is 5.0 * (1+.05+.01+.01) = 5.3
    10 = 5.3x2 = Main + off hand
Vorpal single wield (Perdu hanger) = 4-hit = main + 3x main giving you 1 TP each -> 9 TP
Vorpal dual wield = 5-hit = (main + sub giving you full TP)+ 2x main giving you 1 TP each -> 14 TP

extra 2% probably from you taking a hit. i alway's laughed at monk's who claimed to get 18% back on an asuran fists in a mnk pt or something.

Chatlog is confusing because for other items, the additional effect:drain does add damage.

    Re: Random Question Thread

Okay, so I tested Breeze Gorget vs. Prudence Torque on Greater Colibri and I was getting awkward results. Everyone consistently said Breeze Gorget would give me higher numbers, but that's definitely not what happened.

For clarification: I had a single BRD (was getting 1 Minuet song) and wasn't using food at all. Maybe food makes a difference, but I don't know. Also, all WSes were done with 100% TP or very close to it (the most probably ~120% TP, so I don't think that would skew the information) and I also didn't record any WS that Double or Triple Attacked, or any WS that was done with Souleater (since the damage added is relevant to current HP rather than attack/STR/TP).

    Here are my results:

    Code:
BREEZE GORGET - 55 weaponskills, none including weaponskills done with Souleater or weaponskills in which Double or Triple Attack loaded.

As you can see, I'm getting a slightly better average number with Prudence Torque. Also, it's more consistent - the damage range on Breeze Gorget is higher, meaning more lows and more highs, but the median isn't as strong.

Any clues? It seems weird that a test like this would give me results different from what everyone else was suggesting I use.

    For reference:

My STR/WS gear (not including +attack from Minuet) included:

    With Breeze Gorget:
    82+46 STR
    525 Attack
    59+2 INT

    With Prudence Torque:
    82+46 STR
    530 Attack
    59+7 INT

Note: I was parsing at 95% accuracy so this was probably just bad luck, but I also missed MORE weaponskills with Breeze Gorget on than I did with Prudence Torque. 6 missed WSes with Breeze Gorget, 2 missed WSes with Prudence Torque. <_>

Are relic weapon upgrades considered a quest? Do they show up in the quest log? If so where is it stated they begin/who, etc.

    Also, I personally have got 16 TP return on vorpal blade (225 + 236 delay swords) on BLU/NIN (10+1+1+1+1+ (1 + 1))
So compared to, say Rampage, Maneater only, there would still be the same two DA chances? Or does the number of possible DAs change depending on the number of extra hits in the WS?
