That's all correct.
That's all correct.
Unless these are very high level chigoes or you aren't level 75 blu, I doubt they're reaching a pdif of 1.0 when hitting you normally. In order for a crit to quadruple damage, pdif would have to normally be about 0.33 (so 1.33 on a crit), which is more plausible for 800 defense, though it doesn't really explain the consistency. Physical damage -x% gear can throw off the numbers too if you use any.Originally Posted by Delekii

Oh, of course that makes sense. Even so, the consistency of the damage amounts is still weird, I doubt it would hit the same pdif so consistently... it is literally 11 damage 80% of the time, and I never saw a crit that wasnt between 43 and 46. That was using Terra staff, Jelly+Umbra cape, but even so..Originally Posted by Sargas
80%. the animation changes a couple seconds before the spell actually takes effect.Originally Posted by Avé
the recast timer starts when the spell takes effect, if you're interested in timing it that way.
Bard songs go off at 75%.
Naked, I can start moving at 75% and they will go off uniterupted at some percent later due to lag. (manteel/ring/any other fast not included)
I tend to start moving around 65% with manteel on, 45% with manteel/ring combo. Sure I could shave a few more percent off, but better to be safe than sorry.
I mentioned this in another thread recently, but on PS2 all spells seemed to go off at 75%, with RDM subjob at 65%. On my PC it seems to be around 72ish, so I think somehow that might affect it, so it could be 80% for Amele and different for others. Also, the cast time as listed in the .dats is the time from cast starting to when the spell fires at 75% (or whatever % it is for you before fast cast), and not 100%.
that's not your trigger point. you can start moving around then on all magic - the interruption window has simply closed.Originally Posted by sb
you can actually verify this by moving with an aoe spell - when it does go off, it'll be centered around the trigger point and not where you were before you moved.
Blau/Kikoku or Kikoku/perdu/w/e in Nyzul Bird camp.
A number of Kikoku holders swears by Blau/Kikoku there (those on Pandy might know, Akita(my lolsky LS) and Mantis(bron's LS)).
They shown me their gear, basically similar in tp build from normal katana with just minor tweaks like hope torque to PCC, WS wise go DEX instead of attack eg Bando to AF1+1, Hauby+1 to Osode and such.
I don't run 3rd pt program hence I cannot parse, but, these ppl (JP parses) swears by Blau/Kikoku @ Nyzul Birds.
Hard to believe?
I thought someone said that from watching someone dualwielding Excalibur and Mandau that the double/triple damage cannot proc in offhand? I tried searching for the original post to no avail, and in response to your question I would say Blau/Kikoku since Evisceration has been buffed now it probably shits in Metsus cornflakes, dunno about Jin though.
Triple Procs do not work on off hand. Period.
not sure how one would test it, but is it possible to miss the DA proc in a ws? (ie DA ws would've went off with higher acc).
the only way i can think of to test this would be to be on sam, ws, double attack, miss 2nd swing, zanshin, and hit zanshin. with ikishoten merited, if i understand how it works right, the TP variance would make it clear that the 2nd swing missed, zanshined, then connected. correct me if this won't work.Originally Posted by Saraphym

At mamool camp using axe/axe or axe/joyeuse at birds spamming sushi (i know lol DW, i have to finish skilling my Gaxe) comparing amir boots with dusk feet and unicorn.
h = 100 - p*(1+a/x)
my acc was ~90% in both camps
h = 100 - 2*(1+90/3)
h = 38, so i should need 38% haste for dusk to outparse amir, since my haste setup is 17%, that will be: 17%+15%(haste)+10%(march)=42%. (if i party without a brd amir would be better)
Now unicorn:
h = 100 -3*(1+90/3)
h = 7, so is only 7% haste for unicorn to outparse amir.
When i finish to lvl my Gaxe, my acc should be around the same ( even if i use meat?), thx for the formula is really very useful.
a missed double attack is hard to test definitively but every test I've seen testing whether DA procs at the same rate in WS as outside only works if DA misses at the same rate as regular hits.
given that this is the easy way out in coding I see no obvious flaw in the conclusion drawn from that kind of data.
spekkio: your test would work I think, although I don't know what the likelihood of it happening it. (15% DA * miss% * zanshin% * hit% ) is going to be vanishingly small. (miss * hit is going to be .25 at best, so you're looking at not more than ~3/1000 procs working this way; and likely far far less.)
@aapr
looks like you did it right. but you'll need woozie to confirm; I don't generally work with the formula distilled to that level (you can see an example of how I do my comparisons above)
Your math is correct, aapr.
Worthwhile to get Formless Strikes to level 3 or should I just focus on Invig/Penance?
Kubira Bead Necklace (Einherjar reward 15,000 ampules) would you WS in it for Raging Rush (STR 35% mod)?
Stats are STR4 DEX4 damage taken +5%, I know it's not much but since am actively doing einherjar it's this or Ritter Gorget, which will get used about as much as my harmonia's torque (not much.)
I figure choices are this, chiv chain, pcc, torque or gorget. Where would you rate this out of the 4?
