Kubira Bead Necklace (Einherjar reward 15,000 ampules) would you WS in it for Raging Rush (STR 35% mod)?

Stats are STR4 DEX4 damage taken +5%, I know it's not much but since am actively doing einherjar it's this or Ritter Gorget, which will get used about as much as my harmonia's torque (not much.)

I figure choices are this, chiv chain, pcc, torque or gorget. Where would you rate this out of the 4?

For merit I would use Gorget and use Bead/PCC as needed for acc. Can also get the Ritters, and sell the torque back.

not sure how one would test it, but is it possible to miss the DA proc in a ws? (ie DA ws would've went off with higher acc).

If only there was an ability that guaranteed a double attack for your WS...


In other words, I'm 99% sure that I've missed (quite a few) DAs on WS, and it's the most frustrating thing about War Charge.

When equip swapping for ws, how soon after my equip swap macro can I press my WS macro for the +str from my equip macro to still take effect?

I tend to pause for half a second after pressing my equip swap macro, just in case. I could probably figure this out fairly easily on my own, but was wondering if anyone bothered doing their own tests.

Can you straight tank Jailer of Faith w/o insanely geared Aegis PLD/NINs (or possibly NIN/DRKs?), relic horns, etc? Not Walmart PLDs, just not the absolute best gear available.

I got a lot of HQ organs farming for my Relaxing Earring, and kiting it is a pretty annoying.

Speaking of Jin, O-kote or AF+1? Shit is situational, so explain the situations and the reasoning, please.

If your pDIF is high, you want AF+1. If your pDIF is low, you want O-kote.

I go with AF+1 any time I have Minuet or if I'm farming lower level stuff. I basically don't merit without a BRD, so it's almost always AF+1.

Dynamis can go either way depending on whether I spring for Hedgehog Pie.

1. Which is better, evasion skill or evasion gear? Does evasion skill = +2 evasion?
2. Would nin wear enimty through out the fight? I was thinking of using meriad ring and one of those agi ring.
3. Would nin use enimty gear for provoke?
4. How many sets of gears does nin use? I would assume haste, enimty, str, and evasion. Assuming those are it, how would nin switch between evasion, haste, enimty?

1. The formua between evasion skill and evasion is currently unknown, and nobody will prolly care enough ever to do the massive amounts of tests to figure it out. Use evasion earring over dodge, and O kotes will only help you.

2. You could. If you want, throw and enmity piece in a fairly useless spot if you have nothing better. Some come to mind as the Breath Mantle line, Eris earrings, and Arhats Legs. The latter two have some DD options however. Mermaid ring? Use it when your spamming the Ni line, they switch to a DD ring. Dont use agi rings.

3. You could swap stuff in just for provoke, would I? No.

4. Good nins have a lot. /equip macros.

I would assume it's possible but would require luck. I've soloed it on blu a few times before, it's immune to stun and has maybe like 70% triple attack rate. I relied mostly on slow/para/flash and cocoon/stoneskin to survive the fight while I zerged it. Maybe mnk could use an evasion/counter build successfully against it? I'm not sure, I know nin and thf can solo it via evasion build.

It really comes down to luck. With an evasion build, you could try, but there are a few factors against you:
Triple attack - if he gets lucky and lands 2-3 hits, that's a whole set of shadows down.
Goblin rush - 3 shadows
Bomb toss - direct damage

Also, once he pops perfect dodge, counters will not fire at all. Triple attack > goblin rush during perfect dodge ended me when i tried.

Formless is a pretty fringe ability, there aren't too many instances where it's useful and even maxed out your fists are going to be gimped on damage. Penance on the other hand, there's never really a bad time to use it. You always want mobs to have less tp. Invigorate isn't the most useful JT in the world, but I think anything that helps me stay alive and saves my mages some mp is worthwhile. I personally went 1 Formless, 3 Penance, 2/3 Invigorate.

don't think anyone answered the GAxe WAR earring question, so:

TP - Assault Earring
WS - Triumph Earring or Vampire Earring if you feel like switching at night. If not those, any +1 STR earring (Cassie, Fowling, Minuet) will work.
