Resident Evil 4 once it's out.
play ut:goty and ut:2004, you can skip ut2003also get ut3 once it comes out in june
Red Alert 2.
Star Control 2: Ur Quan Masters or get the free version thats actually playable with current computers as Ur Quan Masters.
Great game with a lot of great characters. If you can beat the game without a strategy guide on the first try, then you sir are a god among men.
Needs repeating. See also old school D&D Goldbox series, Ultima Underworld. Betrayl of Krondor is also old and awesome.Originally Posted by Allundaria

Take a look at the Thief series, although I don't have Thief 3 (yet).
The Zork series
The Myth series
Deus Ex...the original one...
If you like KoTOR you could try out Neverwinter Nights, as that's what it's based on. The second one is a bit more playable now too after patches. The bigger deal with those though is the user added content.
No One Lives Forever 1 & 2, often overlooked FPS series that was quite good.
The Longest Journey was great if you like adventure games, though it's not really one you'd have needed a new PC for. Second one is out, but I haven't tried it...wasn't supposed to be quite as good. If you like Kings Quest and the like back in the day, this is a must-play.
Thief series
Morrowind and Oblivion
Far Cry
Fallout series (though old). If you can find the 1&2 pack for like $10 it's well worth it, though the manual and all for that game was kinda cool.
Obviously stuff mentioned like Half Life 1 & 2, UT2k4 (there's a UT collection out there now too, though as mentioned, UT2k3 is pointless with 2k4).
Lotsa stuff
Civ2
Civ2
Civ2
Civ2
Greatest PC game... ever.
Isiolia is the only one who mentionned Fallout... I'm disgusted!!!
Fallout 1/2 were prolly the best games ever made on PC, I wish they would add expansions tho....
Diablo II would kinda fit in there too
Ultravixen. it was a game where you controlled tentacles and you're objective is to reach ultimate climax >_>;;[
Anyways,
Starcraft
WarcraftIII, if you get this be sure to get DoTA (Defense of the Ancients, one of the best custom maps, it's a completely different game in itself)
Total Annilation WITH all the expansions (I lost my copy, someone gimme please ._.)
Battlefield2, Battlefield2:Special Forces, Battlefield2142
Eh, can't think of the other games I got, but these listed are ones I still play.
I was looking for someone to recommend this. I would also recommend Arcanum, which was done by the same people. It was a more Steampunk style than post-apocalypse, but it had the same irreverent humor and gameplay style.Originally Posted by Isiolia
the old school lucasarts and sierra graphic adventures ^^
no one lives forever
Worms: Armaggedon.
I used to play Zork and Myst back in the day, they were the shit.
I have heard age of empires is good too.![]()
Myst sucked. I didn't mention that game though :DOriginally Posted by Po
It didn't suck, you probably just couldn't figure it out.
