no, cs was just a shitty game.
Must be because of the graphics and/or the person that tired of losing to hackers!Originally Posted by izembo

A lot of my all-time favorites have been mentioned, including the Half-Life series. But theres two games that I absolutely LOVED growing up, on my families first computer that had a CD drive...
Descent 2
Mechwarrior 2
Honestly I could pop either of these two games in right now and have a blast, got I loved these games. Descent was so much more fun than Doom in that it had full 3 dimensions to explore in. And Mechwarrior was awesome because who doesn't like running around in a giant robot blowing shit up?
I especially liked the Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries expansion because you could loot enemy mechs to improve your own.
Also: Honorary mention to Chex Quest - it was so absurd that it came around the other side and became awesome.
Agreed, that game seriously sucks.Originally Posted by izembo

Rollercoaster Tycoon II was pretty cool too.
Tropico. nothing quite as fun as executing people who speak out against you, or jailing citizens who try to run for president against you. or both randomly haha
Yeah, Mechwarrior 2 was one of my favorites back in the day. Then they did Mercenaries (which was a stand alone, the expansion for MW2 was Ghost Bear's Legacy, not counting Netmech) which was still alright...but it seemed like the more they progressed the series they more complicated they made it, which detracted for me. I missed just being able to get a weight limit, config whatever i felt like, and jumping into the action.
Woulda included that, but I was figuring on keeping things more to newer games, that would actually be stuff the OP couldn't run before on his Diablo-capable PC.
Personally I had lots of fun freshman year with the predecessor to CS, Action. Not really the HL version so much as the Quake 2 mod. CS isn't bad per se, but I've never really gotten into it. Too many cheaters, and too big a gap between players.

Speaking of the genre, anyone ever play Lo Wang? He was like a chinese duke-nukem, had the funniest vocals I've ever heard in a game, period.
diablo and diablo2 would get my vote
and cs was the shit if you played in a lan with a bunch of friends
