I've solo'd everything from Greater Colibri, to Deco Weapons, to Imps, to Mage Mamool Ja. Imps are just easier, but a smart BLU can solo alot of T and VT mobs.

BLU can solo well because it is one of a few jobs that is able to haste and stun. Combine this with a large array of haste +% gear available and you can get fairly low recast timers (if only we could get fast cast JT). Their evasion also isn't too bad ... it's a hell of a lot better than my RNG. We also have a cheap slow spell and a not so cheap paralyze.

Indeed, but it'll still take a moderately skilled BLu to take on things Non-Imp. Know what I mean?

Scythe boost, make Last resort last like berserk then you have desperate blows being worth it to merit then drk is A-ok even against HNM's omg!.

DRK/SAM is actually pretty awesome in merit already <_< I actually parsed 1% less than a BB MNK/NIN, playing DRK first time since '05.
Granted I do have full homam and all that jizz - it still was...surprising to be THAT good.

Heres todays parse, on our favorite, Colibris and Bugards.

Nynja: thf/nin Mandau / Blau80% or Adder Jambi 20%
Aytun: rng/nin (nothing impressive w/ him...I saw a lot of point blank slugs though)
Minty: war/nin axe/joy
Ravenlokk: war/nin ridill/joyeuse (E.Bd full merits yadda yadda)
Bard doing minuet march
RDM Dia'd a handful of mobs


Now, because some ppl gonna go "LOL PIERCING BONUS YOU FAG WTF CHEATER", I'm going to dismis the naysayers. I'm going to multiply my damage by 0.25 (this ghetto removes the piercing bonus, theres a more exact calculation, but math isnt my focal point), and then multiply my damage by 0.75 to get my 'true' damage. Of these 146 battles, 107 were on colibri, 39 on bugards. a bit more than 1/3 of the battles were Bugards. I AM GOING TO IGNORE THIS FACT, and take a direct 25% out of my damage, despite the fact that 1/3 of the mobs were NOT giving me any damage bonus. Yes, I am that cocky. However, I'm also going to have to pool out Aytun's ranged and WS damage as well. Fair is fair. The pooled out damage will then be divided by 4 and split to the DD's.


Nynja's damage modification
Pool: 257925 * 0.25 = 64481.25
Nynja: 257925 * 0.75 = 193443.75

Aytun damage modification
Ranged aspect: 67740 + 47230 = 114970
Pool: 114970 * 0.25 = 28742.5
Aytun: 114970 * 0.75 = 86227.5

Pool amount to be distributed:
64481.25 + 28742.5 = 157704.75 / 4 = 39426.1875

Total Damages after pooling fix:
Nynja - 193443.75 + 39426.1875 = 232869.9375 232870
Aytun - 86227.5 + 39426.1875 = 125653.6875 125654
Minty - 151392 + 39426.1875 = 190818.1875 190818
Raven - 181951 + 39426.1875 = 221377.1875 221377


Oh look, despite the fact I worked the tables in favor of the warriors by removing an extra portion of damage done to bugards even though I get no bonus there, I still came out on top.

Against a guy who
A) was tanking and likely getting hate dumped on, therefore not DDing full time as you were.
B) only had a bonus on the melee hits from his offhand and zilch for weapon skills

*Twirls finger*, no one said that a mandau thief against a majority of colibri (because let's face it, bugards were only pulled as a matter of necessity, not a matter of choice nor even 20% of the mobs you fought) wasn't capable of outDDing a pimped war tanking a majority of the time to begin with.

I dunno where this 'not even 20%" came from. Bard dced like 4 or 5 times throughout the party (lolVista), so we did a couple fights w/out any songs, nor elegies.

As far as Raven tanking: He casted Utsu's around 125 times, Minty did around 60, I did around 40, and Aytun did like 7 or so. Forgive me for having 4 evasion traits, A+ skill (instead of C skill) and not wearing evasion-30 (I'm guessing) in TP set.



You just gonna keep discrediting anything to protect the Ridill war legacy. If Aytun were a ninja and Raven wasnt doing any tanking other than that he pulled hate on though damage, and I still out parsed it, you'd find another way to discredit it. If I dominated the parse like above on trolls or on mamools alone, you'll find something else.

You said it took a relic and 25% damage to 'compete'. By those very words, if my understanding of the english language is correct, and I'd like to think it is, that would mean that the very parse above would have me doing +/- 1% from the 'pimped out wars', not 10%, and on neutral mobs the pimped out wars would dominate.

I don't see how you can get that from the parse. It didn't include the shadows taken and such...I tank a good bit at that camp and I parse much closer to my war's (no Ridill but pretty much the only thing that isn't totally 1337 on one is his feet are Amir, Dusk gloves+1/speed/2xsniper+1/etc).

Love the thf hate. My gear is pretty gimp compared to my LS mates war's, almost all my gear is rare/ex and I'm not done my dagger yet, but I keep up/beat my war buddies without hardly ever using Trick Attack. And I tank a good bit despite the other war (the not as pimp one) voking constantly, I'd say I tank just as much as the pimped out war, maybe more, and I win by a little.

Seriously though, Nynja already said that the utsusemi usage ratio was 126 raven : 40 nynja (and no word on how many of those were ichis).
